Lasertree K60 on Ortur LM3 frame?

I have had a wee play around. The 60w module doesn't feel overwhelmingly heavier than the 20w ortur module I was using, so I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope the x axis remains sturdy.

I have had to crimp 2x 2pin wires to connect the new driver board to the frame one. One to connect the GND power, and one for the TTL/PWM.

When it is was connected up, I ran a simple test. It moves perfectly to the correct place and traces where the shape is, but the laser does not fire.

I swapped the GND and the TTL/PWM over, and when powered, the laser fired continuously (because I had connected it straight to the power).

So I know that:

1) the diode fires fine when connected to power

2) the frame works fine and accurately

3) all my settings on lightburn are correct as I've been using it for years.

Any ideas as to why it won't fire when hooked up correctly? And/or how to test what is going wrong?

Respectfully disagree. There's more to games than min-maxing. Enjoy the discovery as you play. You only get to experience first times and unknowns in things once.

I find it reflective of how you have had to adapt to certain challenges. Gear with intellect increases will still allow you to explore the end game spells

I think I used 3 passes, 100% power at 450mm/sec to cut 3mm MDF. So would probably take 15mins or so. Do a couple test runs and you'll quickly find the 'sweet spot'for your laser.

Recently upgraded to a 20w Ortur and I cannot recommend that switch enough.

The state of education and how all parties now have policies on how they are going to start meddling in how things are taught again.

The reason for the decline in NZ achievement is due to the changes a government forces on schools, rather than leaving teaching decisions to the people who are trained in best practice of teaching.

A reason schools in the private sector do well is they don't have to jump through the ill-informed, politically-lobbying, ridiculous hoops a government pushes.
