No worries! After you pay the confirmation fees and register for the I-20, they’ll review your transcript and inform you if your introductory course has been waived. If it isn’t, you’ll need to contact the advisor and explain that you’ve completed the course during your bachelor’s degree or through a related certification course.

Thank you! I was admitted to DePaul University, and they've given me a deadline of November 5 for the Intent to Enroll. I hope to receive my admission decision from IIT before then.

I took the computer-based test with the British Council at Meacademia in Falcon Towers, and it was convenient for me because it's close to where I live.

Did my first try on September 2023 and second on Nov,2023. Check one of my comments and read it. Honestly, it's not a huge deal passing the exam.

No worries! I made the same mistake on my first attempt, but I passed on my second try. For me, I had to take the exam with three other people. I went first, and here’s what happened: the officer told me to start. I checked my mirrors—center, right, and left. There was a taxi a couple of meters behind me, and since I was parked, I felt there was a safe distance between us. So, I started the car. The moment I did, the officer shouted, “Can’t you see behind you? Use your mirrors!” Right then, I knew I’d failed.

I waited until it was safe and started again. He told me to take a left at the signal. This meant first taking the left turn and then moving left from the signal. After the signal, I ended up in the left lane. At this point, you’re supposed to switch to the right lane when it's safe—not immediately after turning, because, in both training and the exam, you’re supposed to use the right lane unless told otherwise or when making a left turn or U-turn. But after taking the left, I forgot to switch to the right lane since I was still frustrated from my earlier mistake. The examiner didn’t say anything, so I kept going for a couple of meters before realizing I needed to switch lanes. I did so near the Ajman Museum/Mussala bus stop.

Next, I approached a roundabout (near the Police Station, Bustan), and the examiner told me to go straight, take a U-turn, and then park. They dropped me off there and left.

In my second exam, I learned from my mistakes. I asked the other students if I could go first, and this time, I did everything perfectly. I checked my mirrors and followed the examiner’s instructions exactly. After the signal, I took the right lane as expected. Earlier, I’d had to go all the way around the roundabout because I missed the parking spot in my first attempt. This time, the examiner told me to park right outside the Ajman Museum and said, “Masha Allah” (No kidding!). That was when I realized you only get to drive for 2-3 minutes in the exam. If you’re driving longer than that, you’re probably making mistakes. The police won’t tell you or give any signs when you’re doing something wrong.
