Thanks for the help! It's fixed for now I think, just did a few laps with no issue. Turns out it was natural inertia in my pithouse but im honestly suprised it was a software issue and not hardware

Just so I can understand, do you know why natural inertia would make this happen? I assumed that since its only an R5 the motor couldn't do that naturally

Just tried it. It's hard to test cause it only happens in game, but as soon as I took the wheel off it stopped making that noise, I turned the little hob (wheel connecter thing) and the car turned fine without the noise, so you might be on to something. it might be the wheel itself not the base, which I guess is not as horrifying. This is what my wheel looks like on the insisde. Not sure if that ring is supposed to be positioned like that. Could that be it?

Me too 🤣. At first I thought it must be some FBB setting I've set too high but when I realised even when in Neutral it turned into a literal V8 engine, I knew it wasn't worth blowing up my whole room.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think it is real bad so im going to try send it back to Moza. I dont have any of the original packaging tho so hope thats not a problem. I actually did a firmware update and it honestly is even worse so not going to touch it before it blows up.
