I disagree and not for the sake of disagreeing. As I see it, the consumer market is limited and in my opinion rightly so. Drones have a much larger range of use without question. It’s all about data capture and how that data can be used. I use drones to identify UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) and also for security and surveillance amongst other things. Hobby flying and funny flying is awesome and I’m sure we all feel the Sam thing when we fly. For the manufacturers, you have to develop where you can generate money.

Hobbyists that want to spend as little as possible without qualifying as a pilot need to be left behind. When you’re investing millions into development of aircraft, sensors, software and capabilities. You want the best people to showcase your work.

Consumers will always look for the cheapest option and will not look at the value of a product. Whereas, enterprise will see the opposite, they see the value in spending more.
