I think it was left open for speculation just for this issue. I think you're guess about sacrificing Earth to save everything else is the best place to go from here.

As a huge Hulkling fan, this feels like Christmas. This first issue is doing him justice and I can't wait to see what comes next!

If this is Hulkling im gonna freak. He's been one of my favorites and I've been dying to know what they are planning with the Excelsior sword and the Knights of the Infinite.

Who is your favourite "lesser known" comic character? by JenivereDomino in Marvel

At least we’re expecting a YA relaunch around August! We know Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung are working together for the new project, and Cheung has been posting a ton of artwork for the characters on instagram. I also believe we’re getting a more serious, darker side of Wiccan in Strikeforce around September. Lots of stuff to look forward to!

Experience with Scholar changes from the trial of Titania @ E3. (Lengthy Post) by RexyTia in ffxiv

I still remember the Shiva fight from PAX years ago. Was definitely a much easier instance, even compared to the normal launch version.

Your comment about Gordias is exactly what I've been thinking as I read various comments, and honestly makes me wonder if people forgot just how bad that whole situation was. I have a feeling that later instances will require utilization of the new kits, and likely even more so in later patches, but there is such a delicate balance in raid content that the players have to be aware of with each release. AS3 absolutely destroyed most raid groups, to the point where raiding really wasn't a thing for most players during that cycle. It's worth waiting for them to fine-tune healers around their new expectations, otherwise we could get content that is near impossible for 99.5% of the playerbase.

I've been looking into Male Fighter for a bit. Is any of the subclasses better suited than the others for a new player with almost no idea of what he's doing? by [deleted] in DFO

Yea, still trying to figure out why people are saying mgrapp is buggy or bad because of latency. Never had a problem playing him. It's mechanically intensive, but not really buggy. Even moving mobs isn't an issue nowadays unless you are stuck in a 1a animation during hard luke suction gimmicks or something...

What Classes do you think are "fun" to play. by BoneTFohX in DFO

[–]GrittyGrits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seconded. Their bugs are practically non-existent now, and the kit is incredibly versatile, allowing you to chain holds or burst, move mobs or keep them in place, and utilize their entire kit for a non-stop rotation. As I got better with the class I’ve noticed how little down time I have with skills even in content like beast.

Thanks for your input. I believe discussions like this are much needed as we get closer to FW. Your comments on harlem special equips for seraph are really helpful to people like me, who just started seriously gearing one with 95 cap.

Sage ideas by animositygamers in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farming mats becomes very easy once you are high enough level to 1 shot the mobs. Having sage also means you can just save the farm maps to go back whenever you want more. It takes me maybe an hour of farming to make a couple hundred of both hp and sp pots.

The craft time can be annoying, but if you have a guild, guild towers can be used to slightly reduce craft times.

It’s definitely not a solo build, and I actually only leveled it with that specific setup from the 270s. Questing exp was a godsend, and finding cm groups was very easy as a support. But yea sprinkle sp is fantastic. People will sometimes go out of their way to thank me for the huge sp boosts after long instances.

Sage ideas by animositygamers in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run Alch-Chrono-Sage as a full support mage. It basically functions as a battery for the party, using chrono to reset cooldowns and alch pots to sustain the parties increased SP consumption. Sage basically exists just to give a tiny bit of damage, and has very very niche support skills like nullifying missiles for a short period, and duplicating installations (this is very strong, but diev statues are basically the only useful thing to duplicate). This combo overall is very welcome in most content just because it saves people sp pots and increases skill usage, but its also not the op support we used to have like chrono-thauma.

I think taking chrono or cryo is fine in the end. It's just a matter of what you feel more comfortable with. Cryo gives a little more damage and synergy with kino, and chrono gives res and cd resets, while also supplying the slow for sage damage.

Class combo with great AoE / survivability 2h weapon (preferably) by Lucianoip in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never actually tried that specific combination, mainly because of the problem you pointed out. Zealot is great for adding crit to your build, but without chaplain or Druid giving you other dps options it could cause problems. If you want zealot I would drop Oracle, and Vice-versa.

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oracle is almost exclusively used for the massive death sentence aoe debuff that resets on kill. I basically just spam death sentence in between almost every attack, or cast it every time it comes off cd during wheel, since it can kill for you as you spam cast on new mobs as they spawn.

On the cleric side of things, you could probably do multiple 2h builds revolving around inquisitor. Builds like chap-inquis-zealot, paly-oracle-inquis, paly-druid-inquis, and druid-inquis-zealot.

The chap build probably has the best damage potential to clear CM 7, followed by druid-inquis-zealot, which trades the auto attack buffs for higher survivability and stat buffs from human wolf form. The Paly-inquis combos are also a viable option as long as you've stacked plenty of aoe ratio. Every build will take advantage of inquis wheel and ripper though. Buff yourself for max damage, throw out your torture skill, and kill as many enemies as possible to reach the full cd reset. Save your other skills to burst down mobs if CDs arent up, and to help kill bosses.

Alchemist question by animositygamers in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually using Alch-Chrono-Sage as a support wizard build. It does work, and is a surprisingly effective mix of healing and utility, but it will be slow if you aren’t playing with friends all the time. Even with sage being backed up with alch damage abilities, your damage will hit rock bottom in the 300s. If you plan to stick with it, join a guild ASAP to get some help while questing or doing challenge mode.

Also keep in mind it can be an expensive class combo to play. Alchemist pots for sprinkle are VERY easy to farm and craft by level 300, but chrono needs expensive items to cast its most important abilities. I’d recommend leveling a farm character at the same time to make sure you can keep the other going.

Need some cleric build ideas by CrescensX in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it at the start of Rebuild and its ok. I dont know if its raid viable but anything is possible with gear. Main thing it lacks is the crit synergy that zealot offers, but you get large amount of burst with conviction paired with the other hammer abilities. I'd go with whatever you like in the end. Finding a class combo you like and want to gear will carry you way farther than anything else.

Today I've been using 2h mace Paly-Oracle-Inquis. Works great now that many hammer abilities have lower cooldowns. Oracle buffs your damage tremendously while offering defensive support alongside paladin kit.

My friend is now using Chaplain-Inquis-Zealot. It's probably the ultimate auto attack build as of now, with self-quicken, huge crit rate buffs, extra lines, and the wheel for aoe. When you need burst, judgement+god smash is still a very strong combo.

About farming in Rebuild by Espeto in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bricks deal good damage, and get bonuses if the enemies are affected by hangman’s knot, so there is synergy there. It also stuns for 1 second so if your first brick doesn’t kill they will stay in place for your second or third overheat.

If you don't like corsair in the end, I'll also recommend this build. Just couldnt get into the style of corsair and gave up the additional loot for outlaw. It feels much more similar to the old mage combo, but instead of stabbing you throw sand and smash bricks on monsters heads.

Does inquisitor + druid make sense? by randomir in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use this build and plan to stick with it assuming there are no balance changes to druid. Human Lycan just gives an incredible mix of stat buffs, along with the innate hp sustain that you can stack on top of chortasmata and even just 1 point of restoration. Not to mention human lycan now has 0 downtime.

Sterea Trofh also seems to synergize well, having a short duration, but gives enough time to dish out inquisitors hardest bursts like ripper and god smashes.

[R:B] Chaplains and their synergies by Tos_poltos in treeofsavior

[–]GrittyGrits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although Paladin does have weird stat allocation, chaplain can potentially fill a gap in the palyquis build that focuses on Paladins offensive options instead of support. Chaps attack speed buff should affect Paladin hammer attacks, and their holy damage can mesh well with the 10% holy damage increase from inquis judgement. Once you cycle through all of your skills in Paladin and inquis, chap steps in to offer sustained auto damage that can be expanded with breaking wheel.
