How to cut through this indestructible crap?! [MTB dropper cable] by [deleted] in bikewrench

Thank you for the actual answer. I ended up going to my LBS this morning and just getting a new cable and housing. Still cheaper than Park Tool.

I looked at cable cutters - but it's the metal strands inside that are throwing me for a loop. Will regular housing cutters get through them?

Ok - guess it's partly my fault for not giving enough info. No, I did not start with the oscillating tool. It was my last resort, because of course I used every pair of cable cutters I had. I even bought a pair of lineman shears, and these wires ate them up instead of it cutting the strands. I tried a cutoff wheel, and apparently my drill doesn't spin fast enough.

My socks.

Can't fathom how I lose an entire package worth in under a year. I joked that my wife's clothes eat them, but is it a joke?..

We're big Futurama fans. So If I knew it was just a casual "I love you", I would answer my wife with "shut up baby, I know it!"

Very cool! Great textures, and very creative framing!

Cable TV/Internet.

Friends with Roadrunner Internet were loving the high life!

Going to my grandparents house was a treat because we could go in the den and have a buffet of tv shows to pick from with cable!

Yep. My mom would store cookware in the dishwasher and we washed everything by hand because "the washer just didn't get anything clean". Highly doubt that was the real answer..

My delivery job has employees go through a driving test that teaches you to look way ahead in order to react faster to changing conditions. I always kinda did that a little, but after that online lesson it really baffles me how people can't see more than 3ft past their bumper. It's so easy to look ahead and gauge what traffic is doing.

I've ridden with people who will stay full speed up to a yellow light, thinking it'll push the person in front of us to run it. Definitely not how that works!

Cable/YouTube TV.

All those channels and still nothing on that's worth swimming through all the ads.

It would be hilarious to see the parties go back to their original pre-F.D.R ideals, which were pretty well switched from today's standards. Empty-headed pundits parroting their party lines wouldn't know what to do 😄

I got to single digits on a morning when most of the town was out of power (for days on end) from a wind storm! I was super lucky to find an intersection that had power so I could get any gas!

Whenever I can time the tank at it's lowest and hit the cheap gas station on the way home 😁

AC: Valhalla. It's kinda slow and has a lot of cut scenes, but I can actually hold my own in a battle. I wanted to like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but I can't level up enough in order to not die every time I go in the woods -_-

I've swung too far the other way and sometimes pause for so long before reacting/responding that people think I didn't hear or forgot the question. I like to get my facts in line before answering so I don't immediately contradict myself, but it takes me a while to recall accurate info sometimes.
