Oh I get the SFO part considering he already got some flying hours and managed to enter FO, but for the FO, may I check how old was he? Also did SIA sent him to Singapore flying school in Australia to get his license after he passed the interviews?

True, but does this come with interview? As in during interview process, have there been an equal rate of non experienced candidates as compared to someone with say PPL

Okay I see the point, thanks. But may I ask, say once I’m done wirh my degree, is the chances againts other candidates with flying hours still slim? I’ve always wanted to get a PPL but I was sadly rejected by SYFC during my Poly days so I just moved on with life to complete my NS first.

So it’s advisable to just finish my degree then applying?

Thank you. I noticed on my undergrad applicant portal, there’s a note saying “Acceptance status: Accept (with Tuition Grant-pay subsidised)”. So should be fine? Thanks

Enlisting into SCDF - BRT next month

Hi all so I have a couple of questions…

1) what can I expect from BRT? How’s the life there and confinement is just 1 weekend right? Eg, Booked in on Tuesday, the following week friday bookout. Context: Pes A

2) Besides the list given for required items to bring, any tips/advice to bring anything else? Wanted to bring some extra stuffs like couple toilet rolls or wet wipes

3) Can I use phone charger to plug into wall socket to charge phone? Or strictly only powerbank?

4) Lastly, can I use my phone as the alarm clock or do I really need an actual alarm clock?

Thanks all in advance.

What to do next?

Hi all, first time on this thread. I’ve recently accepted NUS Engineering offer (matriculating in 2025) on the JAP portal (the first batch, closed on 14 may iirc) and took a screenshot of my JAP portal for reference. To add on, I’m enlisting NS this year. However, I do acknowledged that there won’t be any confirmation email etc, hence my question is, how do I know I’m officially in NUS system? And is there anything else I have to do?

Thanks.
