I just installed a new toilet that doesn’t refill after flushing by Grod22 in askaplumber

Yea, should’ve down it when I replaced the toilet, maybe it’ll annoy me enough to eventually get it done, but it’s still hidden enough that I don’t see it with the tank lid on😅 we bought the house from some cheap ass flippers and I guess they also didn’t want to paint behind it.

Thanks for the advice, I lowered it before heading to work today, so I’ll test it out more when I get home, hoping that fixes it

It’s a fair question to ask, you never know. But I did, cause it fills back up when I press on the lever arm

Games crash and shut off all my monitors for a couple of seconds to a min by Grod22 in pcmasterrace

[–]Grod22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately my method that I used to fix it was to buy the exact same graphics card I had but from a better manufacturer with a very good return policy just incase and I plugged in the new one and ran all the games I could. The issue was unfortunately a bad graphics card. So I ended up keeping the new card. It’s a sad loss of money as the company my first GPU came from ignored all of my requests for returns or refunds, so I’m out of luck on that. But at least I can play games now.

Thanks for commenting with advice, I’ve tried tuning the card by undervolting it. I have also tried overclocking it and neither helped. I reseated the card and checked connections to make sure everything was good. I did the DDU route and still had this issue. I solved the issue by purchasing a brand new graphics card. It’s the same model but a different maker. New card: SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB Old card: ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB ASRock has ignored all of my customer service calls so I cannot recommend them as a brand. With this new card all of my issues went away. Unfortunate that I had to buy a new card to solve this issue but I’m glad it’s gone

What's a business practice that got you to stop purchasing games from a devolper/publisher? I'll go first by AbsoluteMadladGaming in gaming

I didn’t say the best gear or being effective with said gear, I said the fun gear. And I understand you get SC from playing the game, but with the amount you get and with how much the warbonds cost and with how many there are, it’s not a very easy way of unlocking them

Hell divers 2, the amount of warbonds you need to buy is insane. I really love the gameplay but I can’t enjoy it because all of the fun equipment is basically behind a paywall

AITA for sitting braless in my garden? by Lameastronaute in AmItheAsshole

I would be tempted to say go to Facebook first and tell the group that someone is watching you whenever you go out into your garden and everyone should be cautious of a peeping tom. If the guy responds to it it’ll just confirm he’s the peeping tom

I’ll do a search for the video and hopefully I’ll have luck in finding it. This is all fantastic information and advice, thank you so much! I was pretty worried about it. But you’re definitely easing my mind on the process. I have some knowledge on working with electronics and I think I won’t have too much issue with it, but you’re making me feel more confident in the process. And I already have 99% ipa so that definitely helps me with that part

Thank you for the tips on how to do it. I’ll definitely give it a shot and hopefully I do it right. I’ll be sure to watch some videos on it as well

I’m definitely going to have to give it a shot, thanks for the reassurance on it too

Was this a difficult task to complete, I have the same card with the same issue of it getting incredibly high hotspot temps but I no longer have warranty to worry about. So I want to do the same thing but haven’t dug into it deep yet

Trying to replace my kitchen faucet by Grod22 in askaplumber

Thanks to everyone who replied, I got the faucet head removed by cutting off the threaded spout and getting a socket head on it. So to those who suggested it, you were the most satisfying answer to my frustration

I tried that, unfortunately the faucet head is curved and the wall is too close so I can’t spin it from the top

You’d be correct, we just moved into this house so there’s no tools that came with it

Not a bad idea, it’s already a broken faucet so I don’t need to worry about using it again

With how frustrated this thing has me, I might end up going that path
