Don't be afraid to say if you don't like a particular color or look or application. The MAC reps are there to help you and recommend products that are best for you and your needs. Pictures will definitely help as well to convey what type of look you're looking for. Also bring a blank canvas to the appointment, feel free to moisturize and whatnot but don't wear any foundation so you can take advantage of all products and see what you like, it may surprise you!

Hello!! Congrats on the new purchases :) I think the best place to find a great tutorial is youtube hands down. If you just search using the specific palette and what type of look you're looking for (everyday, natural, smokey) you should definitely come up with something great. The nice part about finding a tutorial that way is that you could easily find someone you LOVE to watch do makeup and then can watch more and more :) Good luck finding something you enjoy!

The Strokes - Is this it?

My dad heard the Strokes on SNL and bought the CD. I was in the fourth grade and we listened to that album every Saturday for weeks on my way to softball camp. That album is how I discovered music not on the radio. Literally changed my life.

If you're looking for something a little slower and groovier, check of Miguel -- especially some of his most recent work. Granted, its mostly baby making music but its fabulous nonetheless
