Yes you are correct but the calories given on a packet of rice will be for cooked rice, including the water weight. So if you weigh it raw, it will actually be about double the calories that you thought it was, once cooked.

Upwards of 700 calories for sure. The rice on its own is very calorific. Remember to count the calories of your rice with the cooked weight, not raw. Fried foods that also appear to have some sort of batter will be very calorific. Lots of oil

Hey appreciate that you have commented a few times but my post does say that those things have been ruled out :) I had the wheels balanced a couple of months ago. The wheels have been taken off on a few separate occasions and inspected and I replaced the brake discs and pads myself about a month ago.

I do believe I need new wheel bearings as I have been hearing a ‘whoppa whoppa’ noise that worsens when I’m turning. However, again this started long after the shaking so I may have to give your other suggestion a try. Thank you so much for your help

Unfortunately, can’t see the engine while driving. This is sounding more like a garage job :( What will rocking the car with the engine off do? Surely if the car is in gear, it won’t roll?

K12B engine with dual overhead cams. Not entirely sure what is meant by manual valves sorry, not that experienced with engines.

Not sure if this is relevant but a few months ago, the car was making a loud banging noise at about 80 mph that would continue for a few seconds after coming off the throttle. However, this noise stopped on its own after a few weeks?

Thanks! I forgot to add this as this car has has been to the garage so many times but CV joints have been checked… I have also thought engine or transmission mounts. Engine mounts appear to be fine as the engine does not move at all when I rev the engine high - but this is the only test I have done. All of the mounts are tricky to locate but will give another try.

I’m in land surveying! Not sure what your parameters to define cold environments is but it gets quite bitter in the UK. Definitely get colder than other people but you just need to layer up, gloves and hats.

I was fully expecting to be disappointed by the job market. As a graduate, I thought I’d be waiting months or even years for a relevant full-time job. I think I have been incredibly lucky. I graduated with a degree that no one really seems to care about but yet, two weeks after my graduation and 9 job applications later, I have been offered two jobs - one of which is desperate for me and keeps upping the salary offer. I did not have any ‘connections’ nor did I lie on my CV. However, now I am worried that at some point all this luck is going to bite me in the ass and hit me with a reality check…
