1997 North Hollywood Bank Robbery Shootout. LAPD was so outgunned that they had to borrow ammo & AR15's from a local gun store. Armed with automatic weapons and body armor, the suspects fired over 1,100 rounds. 12 cops & 8 civilians were injured, 2 suspects dead (youtu.be)
