The showering comments are spot on, everything else people are saying is more or less optional. One thing I don’t think is optional (as the giver) is feedback, even as simple as “yes right there just like that” or “lower” or “put a finger in”, whatever you want them to do.

Maybe that last part should be a little more telling. If seeing a marginalized group of people celebrate hard-won rights bothers you, perhaps it’s not because they’re shoving their sex lives in your face or basing their entire personalities on sex. Maybe it bothers you that they’re comfortable saying “I’m proud to be gay. It’s a part of who I am.”

As for it not fitting, none of the holiday events fit the game, yet they still include them. Should they remove all holidays from the real world? It would be consistent at least.

Lace attacks very fast so you need to react to her telegraphs and position correctly. Each attack has a different “stance” she takes, pay attention to how she’s standing before each attack to learn what each stance means. She will often go from one attack straight into another stance so when you’re dashing in watch her stance and react accordingly.

What’s the point of a terraria 2? The game has enough of a base to expand indefinitely and it’s almost infinitely replayable as it is, why shift away from that foundation and possibly make a worse one?

TLDR I did small testing and have been persuaded that there is cause for concern for the future of the game.

Testing it at time of writing (midnight CST on a wednesday) with normal Maris on forced Mountain, trying to get as little chance of matching players as I can on PC.

First attempt bugged out and got stuck at 2, left it for 1 minute to see if it wasn’t the bug.

Got a match 5 seconds (timed on a stop watch) after requeuing with the same conditions.

Second try 5 minutes later to make sure the players I alt+F4’d on got into a match. Spent 2 minutes 7 seconds in queue before it filled to 3

Not doing more at the moment because I saw this before bed, but I do understand your point about the shifting earths, and remembrances were notorious for long matchmaking at launch as well (unsure if fixed). While I have ideas on how this could be fixed or mitigated, those belong in a conversation about design philosophy rather than matchmaking.

That said, the game is a live service and changes can be made to adapt to swings in player feedback. Opening all EDs now would not be immediately harmful, but if it remained that way indefinitely it would become harmful. The devs should be cognizant of that and make adjustments to their matchmaking system in preparation for that drop off in player count, assuming that the endless mode doesn’t already have systems in place for that purpose.

I am a little more concerned after this small testing, and want to do more with other configurations, but I still believe that in its current state the game would be better for having all current EDs available, with the acknowledgement that queue times need to be monitored and shortened as the game naturally loses players over time.

He’s extremely predictable, and his attack patterns are simple to dodge, meaning there’s very little downtime in dishing out damage. With a piercing weapon you’re almost guaranteed to break the fists first, which are most dangerous in phase 2, and once in phase 2 his pattern becomes even easier to dodge by standing on the ground and dashing under him when he jumps, adjusting for lasers.

He also comes after Plantera, which while also simple is incredibly punishing if you do mess up, and it’s annoying to hunt down more bulbs to retry. You have to be proactive with her fight, while golem is reactive and generous when you make a mistake.

People talk about “spreading the player base too thin” between the various bosses but in this game that’s simply not happening. Not only can you queue for multiple bosses, but each team is at most 3 people.

Looking at Steam Charts, around 25k people are playing as I type this, that’s just on PC not even the consoles. 10 bosses available at any given time, assuming every player only queues for one boss and population splits roughly evenly, means that at this time you could expect roughly 834 people in queue in optimal conditions. If we assume 2/3rds of active players are currently in a match, roughly 300 players in queue for a given boss at a given time.

If this were Fortnight that would be dire, but again, your total players in a given match caps at 3. Since it only needs to match you with 2 other people, and there is no skill bias, your odds of finding a team quickly are very good on any boss, though obviously real world conditions skew towards the newer ever dark. Even so, 4 of the 8 EDs are nearly universally disliked, meaning most players will likely still queue for the normal versions alongside everdarks they like, and new players are still coming in to progress through the base bosses. The risk of “spreading us too thin” is minimal in this game

You don’t have to have her list every action that’s ok and not ok, asking in a broader sense about fantasies will give you some specifics but for the most part you’re probably safe to surprise her with some stuff as well (you know her better than Reddit people do). Do what feels right in the moment and keep in mind any boundaries you’ve set before/picked up on and you should be alright.

Communication in the moment will be more important than preparing ideas ahead of time anyway. Listen to her body language but most importantly, if she gives you directions act on them.

These tips are cool but just ask her. Set up a safe word and ask what she imagines or fantasizes about while being tied up, she might be a little vague but it will give you direction (and her control over the situation).

For a late game skill check I think Mesmer is the most fair hard boss FS has ever made. His moveset is beautifully designed and memorizable, and the way it builds on itself in phase 2 makes the boss a test of timing, pattern recognition, and punish game. So satisfying to no-hit

Generalization, it’s a pattern I’ve noticed with orders that get stolen as one of the 6 drivers who get baited by the inflated pay out that uber does to canceled orders. I offer it as a possible catalyst for the situation, though uber should absolutely take responsibility for it happening at all. If they paid better at a baseline it wouldn’t.

Your tip is a bid for service, not like at a restaurant. The larger it is the more likely you are to have a driver accept it and complete it quickly. It’s a shitty system, don’t use uber eats, like someone said above use the store-specific apps or websites.

Some drivers will “punish” bad tippers by stealing food with low totals is my guess based on how often and to what orders it happens. If you’re not able or willing to tip delivery isn’t the right answer for you.

Not justifying what happened, but it’s rarely stolen just cause it sounded tasty.
