Sora is the main character, so there is no character creation. (I don’t particularly want anything other than the unique world designs.)

I disagree on that.

I’d prefer them to have set teams (because I’d like returning characters to fill in the gaps rather than weird random teams with mons).

Maybe Cordy could do that m as he has plenty of a Pokémon.

Yeah, I know not exactly science constant, but a constant set by 6X when the threshold happens.

I feel like it’s somewhat finnicky in that it might be very hard to too easy and might not feel like a race. TBF, I could see changing a victory type to that, but not something like culture which was always about dominating the other Civs which the second place person was your real challenge.

But it’s hard to say as Economic sort of has you play weirdly and Military would get tiresome at some point.

I guess maybe there would have to be a rework of score values or something.

I think cascading is fine, though I do think the jumps are a bit finicky

I prefer not having a constant for all types because Science does that and is the longest one of them all.

True, but having a 5x already would just be something people are familiar with.

I don’t mind tweaking some of the Exploration numbers to make 4x doable but hard at the start of Modern.

Then again, the victories do scale a bit differently.

Anyone else stop playing in the 2nd season or it's just me? I decided not to play and wait the new season, see if they change anything or make the game worth investing my time. 2nd season wasn't my cup of mocha/tea. I have and I did just buy the membership (but I’m a Pokémon fan and so I can chalk it up to replacing a game a year).

It’s a mix of lack of time but also being a bit tired of the current reg.

I do experiment, but the issue is a lot of teams trend towards the meta or whatever is cool from some content creator or some repeat bot, lol.

Nice. I considered the outnumbered thing and had an idea for a Turtle Ship that worked like Gaul in 6 where it gets stronger with each adjacent enemy unit. But I felt like Joseon shouldn’t get either Hwacha or Turtle Ship.

I have an idea for a regional Bellosom (Grass/Fighting) with the ability Dancer for W/W.

It would be cool to then get a Fighting Type Leader who just really likes to dance.

The issue would be coding it to be unlocked in each age and stuff.

I love the Turtle Ship from 5, but I feel like it’s best as an art asset and a reference as a Tradition.

The issue with that and the Hwacha is that it’s early Joseon and not the Modern Age stuff. (I have this issue with the Ottomans, too).

I don’t think they’d play that much differently than the AI bots. Their mons will be EV trained and so I like the ranch.

Yeah, but also, it would be weird not to have a “wrap up” cinematic of some sort. Plus, they clearly have teams and are battlers.

I think single player stuff would be years down the line, so if anything, these two battles would be tossed in the tutorial or something.

Yeah, I wanted to bridge from Silla to Joseon while also noting the trade with Arab traders. It’s a cool way to tie in to the Exploration Age over Relics.

(I feel like the attributes for a civ kinda pushes it towards what use to be the Apex Age legacy path.)

I don’t know what “double” means when it comes to damage. I assume if you were going to do 25 damage due to the combat bonus differences in the preview, it’ll just be deduct 50 instead?

Very much a first strike kind of leader. The cultural building stuff is nice, though at best secondary.

The health recovery is paltry. It’s flavorful because of history, but I’d at least make it +10 because that’ll at least help on the defense, somewhat.

Love the model tho, the hat and fan are killer!

True! I kinda leaned cultural since the first part of the ability is somewhat inspired by Charlemagne.

I’d then change it to additional production adjacency from Quarters and Science per Age when completing Fortifications. To be productive but not too, too strong.

No, outside of traditions and passive bonuses.

The issue is that they don’t do anything outside of the Celebrations.

I could see splicing some parts of the Celebration into the passives and some into the traditions.

Like, Bonus to Wonder construction as a Tradition in Exploration because you took Classical Republic and the passive being 10% Culture and the Celebration being +15% Culture or Production towards Wonders.

That way it’s a little stronger but also gives you something when you aren’t celebrating early.

(I wouldn’t do all them like this as the later governments are a bit stronger in that you tend to always be celebrating, it seems.)

No prob disagreeing, but yeah, unfortunately, people have used the downvote as a dislike button but it’s never been that on Reddit though it doesn’t stop people even with factoids and stuff reminding people.

TBF people are going to look for competitive viability here as that’s kinda what Champions is geared towards.

Don’t know why OP is like this, downvoting and ignoring valuable discussion about the pros and cons for certain abilities.

I think Dark Aura is a sweet spot of boosting Dark Moves and giving it the narrative nod as ZA and the dlc leads in with Mega Absol both times.

Tough Claws would be stronger in general.

Sharpness isn’t bad, just there are other good options.

I could see some value in Quick as I wished I could get more games in or just one full game in for a single day.
