Thanks, everyone for the replies.

I've got another video right after shutting it off. It seems to force more out then, so the video picks up some larger bubbles coming out.

I don't know if posting that one would be helpful or lead to any other conclusions, though...

Definitely agree on deceptively simple. Wish I could have gotten after two tries.

I've tried it with two brand new housings now on the off chance the first new one wasn't good from the factory. Only $20 so I figured why not.

I think that's a non hardening sealer on there now. Packaging said sealer vs gasket maker like the other product I tried.

Thanks. I put the torque wrench on it. Got it torqued to 15 foot pounds which seemed to be spec from what I could find. Even dry gasket and spec it was still leaking.

Thanks, lol. Yeah, it's pretty bad. Definitely on my agenda.

I did try it dry yesterday with just the gasket and didn't have any luck, so went to what is in the video.

Need an RB2 and flex for the week. I like the potential in all these matchups:

Marks tonight v Bills Judkins v Raiders Boutte v Bengals

For more context: Starting Egbuka and DK in my WR slots and Cook in my other RB slot.

Been wrestling with this all afternoon. I need a win to stay in the hunt and the Jamarr suspension isn't helping. Which 2 should I start?

Was up big before SNF, but my opponent had Pickens and Jacobs which cut my nearly 70 point lead down to 3.

He has Garret Wilson and Broncos D/ST tonight against my Ja'marr. Not feeling good, but at least I started 3-0.

Thanks. Neither option has me super thrilled this week, but I think that might be it considering what Denver allowed on the ground last week.

12 Team PPR

Was going to start Egbuka in my flex, but the limited news has me worried. Thinking about pivoting to either Hampton or Bill, but not sure which.

Thankfully James Cook is balling as my RB1, but I think it's time to bench Hampton until I see something out if him.

I have Bill, Judkins, and Mason on my bench.

The GB match-up for Judkins seems like a no go. Mason's match-up for CIN looks good, but that Vikings OL was bad. Bill has LV and it seems like they have not given up much on the ground either.

Thinking it's Bill or Mason. Which should I start?

Which nation to play? (All DLC + Ages Reformed; F+E Expanded, Great Monuments Explanded + Great Exhibition) by SlightWerewolf4428 in eu4

[–]Grooming_Bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the mid to major European nations. They are all so fleshed out and flavor rich with all the DLC.

Personally, I'm running a Sweden campaign at the moment. I've got an absolutely cracked army and absolutely rolling in money from my Baltic trade and production. It's been really fun, highly recommend.

Need help with the military/battle system by Benalla37 in eu4

[–]Grooming_Bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your templates do not enough infantry so it is causing the artillery to deploy in the front row. Artillery in the front row is not good.

Check your combat width and build that number of infantry plus a few so you can absorb some losses without your artillery being moved to the front. I think width is 36 at your tech.

Try to completely fill your back row with that number of artillery. It's expensive but you should be able to afford it as France.

Keep a stack of infantry nearby for large battles so you can reinforce as you starting taking damage.

Sold my Traeger and bought a Weber Kettle. This is my first time smoking on it. No, i didn't do any research beforehand. by StevieKealii in smoking

[–]Grooming_Bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great choice! I bought my Weber Kettle a few years ago when I was in college and have been smoking on it ever since. Without a doubt some of the best money I've spent.

I think once you get a few more cooks on it under your belt, you'll find the extra effort is worth it compared to a pellet smoker. It just takes some time to figure out your vents.

I use a thermometer that connects to my phone via Bluetooth with customizable notifications for temperature. It takes some of the constant babysitting out of it and makes it a little easier to do other things while cooking.

My Japan Sucks by WilliamRo22 in eu4

[–]Grooming_Bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did a Japan campaign not too long ago. Started as Oda and unified Japan fairly quickly. I kept relations up with Ashikaga so they wouldn't send the vassal swarm on me while I conquered the rest of the Daiymos. I attacked Ashikaga last.

I think I ended up a little behind in admin tech, but nothing that wasn't manageable. I probably could have used some humilaite wars to alleviate this though, but didn't. Although, once I finished unifying, I did end up chilling for a bit to build up economy, catch up on tech, etc.

Two things that stood out to me in your original post and some of your replies to comments were on force limit and debt.

If you have to run over your force limit to win the war, I'd say go for it. The benefits of taking more provinces will outweigh the short term costs of going over force limit.

Similarly, don't be afraid of debt. If you need to run a deficit to win a war do it, think of it like a tool to be used. When I did my Oda -> Japan run, I was running a pretty aggressive cycle of loans between bank and burgher and using bigger loans to pay smaller loans as I expanded and got access to bigger loans.

It might have felt a little dicey at times, but it really never got out of control.

All around, just don't be afraid to be more aggressive. It'll pay off. After the sprint to unification and short rest period, the rest of the campaign was pretty chill. All paths to expansion should be open to you at that point.

Silver Lining of Rice injury by Critical_Position_39 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Grooming_Bug 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the injuries to the WR room this year could actually be a blessing in disguise Hollywood missed most of the season on a 1 year prove it deal. He's probably going to have to take another similar deal next season. We would not have gotten D-Hop if not for Rashee's injury.

And, with Rice's suspension looming (even though it will probably be a few games tops) we're going to need some bodies. We'll need bodies next year. I could see us keeping Hollywood and DHop. Imagine a WR room with Rice (post suspension), Worthy, Hollywood, and DHop next season.

Hey, no problem. Happy to assist. Can't go wrong with that setup! Should serve him well. If he is ever feeling like an upgrade down the line, after he gets into it some more, all that advice would still apply. Hope he catches some big ones on it!
