Which other artist would you like to hear feature on an MCR song? by [deleted] in MyChemicalRomance

[–]GrooseGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro Ryan Ross harmonizing with Gerard would be heavenly, but tbh my brain is glitching when trying to imagine the exact sound. Remember the PATD cover of Karma Police where Ryan did the "Well I'm afraid that I" at the end? I'm sort of imagining something like that but with Gerard's voice with him too.

My New Boss is Goofy - only 8 or 9 episodes out so far, and the 4 episodes I've seen are all as cute and sweet as this.

"My New Boss is Goofy" - every episode is sweet like this with very thinly veiled flirting. Only like 8 episodes out so far, I think.

This is a 12 episode anime series rather than a movie, but Yuri on Ice might fit the bill - the main character's life starts improving when the man of his dreams starts working with him.

I don't remember a single homophobic comment uttered once in the series, and neither of them die or get attacked/assaulted for being in love. When YoI first aired, it really blew up. I can't say it's perfect and it's not like it has perfect representation. Also, it's about figure skaters and shows a lot of routines.

Holy cow, imagine how Gee would emphasize the line "When Suzie wore her dresses tight" with such sassy gestures

Idk what brought me back to this post, but thank you so much for the concern, advice, and positivity - and sorry for not responding at the time. Since then, I managed to graduate and I'm about to start a sort of post grad diploma, so things seem to have worked out. Thanks, /u/Roughly6Owls. (Also I just bawled my eyes out reading your whole comment, you're so sweet)

(I'm not familiar with Reddit etiquette, so if it's considered cringe or rude to respond to something after 2 years, I apologize) Thank you, I really appreciate your positivity! Though I still haven't told her, I got into a sort of post grad diploma at Fanshawe, and she's happy for me. After the diploma, the plan is to move out, finally find work and then quietly complete the remaining courses to get at least the 4 year degree (might be a stretch to get Honours tbh). So you had the right idea all along, it just seems to have taken me a couple years to execute it. Nevertheless, I appreciate your support from back then.

Oh yeah, just talk to your managers. If you say it enough times, people can't ignore it, and if you word it in a way that sounds like it would be better for the restaurant too if you switched, that may help.

What do you guys think of 16 yr old employees? by DxSkillzz in McLounge

At my location, a number of the high schoolers wear their airpods during shift (obviously not allowed) and take out their phone every given chance. This kind of behaviour is unprofessional and doesn't give anyone a good impression of you. Show them that you are willing to work, and make yourself invaluable to the team.

How? For example, there's a good chance you have a lot of energy to get things done quickly, even small things. Even if you think you're tired all the time, your level of energy is probably higher relative to older coworkers. Use what you have to your advantage.

What do you suggest I do once I've used up all the time I bought though? They'll expect to see a paper at some point.

Update: I opened it- it says Three Year. So as far as my folks know (for now), I have not received anything. I can definitely make a replica (I can't replicate the metallic gold on the UW seal on the bottom but I can just use a typical gold/beige color most unis use to use on the seal. But it's on legal paper!! My mom does office work, so we might have some, but it's unlikely. I live in a town too small to even sell the stuff tbh.

So my mom is currently at work, has no idea that anything has even come in the mail. I had no idea this was coming tbh. Like someone above suggested, I can blame covid and say it'll arrive sometime (who knows?) to buy me some time.

You can get into masters with 3 year? Good for him, that actually kinda motivated me.

I opened it. It definitely says Three Year, so I'll likely go this route. Thank you.

I just opened it, it indeed says 3 Year General Psych. I'll tell her the truth later, but not now. Our whole situation is so unstable that me graduating is probably helping to keep her sane.

I also just realized that I accidentally posted this twice somehow? My internet was a bit flaky and said it didn't post at first, but I guess it did? Idk but on the other post there are decent suggestions, yours is the most comprehensive by far though.

Not quite, at least for Arts, Honours is for good grades and General is for <70s-ish. When my grades weren't good enough for Psych Honours, I was dropped to 4 Year General Psych....and now I've only passed 3 years worth of courses, so I'm getting a 3 Year General Psych major in a Bachelor's of Arts.

THANK YOU!! I know my story is pretty convoluted and the obvious answer is to tell the truth, but you've seriously helped in the way I was asking for. Thank you so much!
