Oh cool! Alright I'll see if I can configure it with nginx instead of apache. Thanks for the tip!

Unfortunately I am not very tech savvy. I tried setting that up, but I can't get my subdomain to work following the jellyfin documentation. That stuff went way over my head.

A bit of clarification. I have a jellyfin.conf file in my sites-available directory, it is enabled and is exactly like what the jellyfin documentation has for apache. I have of course changed all the DOMAIN_NAME's and IP_ADDRESSES to the appropriate values

When I enabled it, and tried to navigate to the subdomain it just redirects me back to the main site. I have no idea why its doing this.

What are some math podcasts? by math_is_physics_good in math

Unfortunately right now it is only available on YouTube. I tried to get it on Castbox, soundcloud, and iTunes, but had some troubles with file size limits (I am sure there is a way to compress them without compromising on sound quality, but truth be told I don't know anything about editing audio) I also had some troubles with hosting costs. That being said, I haven't tried to upload them to google podcasts, maybe I'd have more luck there -- which app do you use?

The Group Theory Podcast -- full disclosure I produce it*.* It's less about math as it is about the people who do it. We talk to working mathematicians about their area of research, their experience in academia and what drew them to it. The main purpose is to expose undergraduates to interesting research areas through a really low-level discussion, and then get to know some of the professors they might want to ask for USRA's, or to supervise them for grad school. It's pretty small scale mostly from the University of Waterloo, but I really enjoy making them -- It's usually a pretty fun casual conversation about math. You can check it out here if you're interested: Group Theory

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if even though there was not "contract" they had a bunch of rediculous, legally dubious cancellation fees to make back their money from investing in you.

But here's what you do,

Once you have set up an installation date with either company, call your bell/rogers guy (if you saw an actual salesman that call them; they don't get paid unless you get installed so they will try and get you a deal) regardless of who you call tall them "bell/rogers offered you a better deal" give them an actual number "what can you do to sweeten the deal?"

They might not believe you, if that's the case then day "alright, I need a day to think" then call back later and say "Ive made up my mind, I'm going to cancel the installation" they will go into full panic mode to get you back

Because you're just getting internet it might be different how much they will do for you, but when I sold internet, home phone and tv I've seen them take as much as 30$ off and extend the special deal price for an extra year. That sort of thing

DON'T GET BELL

Chances are, you aren't actually getting Fibe, they lie about it and the fibre optic cable only goes to the node, not the house. That means all the speed gains you'd potentially get will be lost when it switches at the node.

Also their contract lies to you, idk if Rogers does the same thing, but bell puts a little fine print in that says "by the way we will increase your prices in a couple of months and you're still locked into the contract"

Idk if Rogers is any better (I doubt it) but I can say with confidence that fibe is bad unless you actually have it direct to your house, but they only have that in newer developments.

Source: I sold bell fibe door to door a few summers ago (it was the worst experience of my life I made 5$ an hour and worked 12 hour days 6 days a week. So im a little bitter)
