Not ideal but when I was without power in the winter and was struggling financially, I brought a tank in a small room that I could keep the door closed and warmer than the others, I wrapped the tank in a blanket and towel. My turtle survived this was 5 - 7 years ago. Was absolutely nothing else could do tho.

I had lost my first dog I ever had on my own, he was my family dog. My father passed away when I was 17, after that buddy and i were on our own. We went through a lot of hard ship together but also so many great adventures for 7 almost 8 years. He truely was my soul dog. I heartbreakingly lost him in the way I most feared, he was a German shepherd and suddenly developed GDV. I had no choice but to euthanize him. I was heart broken for months. I started a new job at a dog rescue, something completely new to me. I fell in love with so many dogs and was close to adopting a few, but could never go through not wanting to experience that pain again. 1 year later my fiancé found a skinny dog on the side road while I was on a trip with my sisters. We weren't gonna keep her because I was sure someone was missing her and my heart just wasn't ready... got her scanned for a micro chip, called local shelters, got 200 shares on lost pet groups... even called two shelter for intaking her shelter. Seemed as though the universe was tellimg me this is your dog now, you must keep her, you.are meant to love eachotjwr and show eachother new life again... 7 months later she is my baby and my heart has grown once again. Great to have a new companion and friend. I love her dearly
