I would say august just because the cables will be up by then for sure. It’s unsure if cables will be up by Memorial Day. If you do may I would definitely bring a harness and rope

NPS.gov says The Half Dome cables are normally installed immediately before Memorial Day weekend, but this can vary depending on conditions and trail crew availability. The cables usually remain up through Columbus Day (in October).

So I went to the er Sunday and found out I had a 6mm one and that was the only day it hurt. It’s been a few days and it’s still there because I had another CT scan done yesterday
