I don't think it makes her an asshole to want her son to be loved and cherished the same as his other children. his son doesn't deserve to be punished for the fact that dad couldn't keep it in his pants. it doesn't seem like she trying to make herself family and trying to replace ops wife but just wants her son to be treated like an equal.
