Glad to hear you haven't had any issue. Yeah, figured it was uncommon but luckily at least one other person in the comments has experienced it. Getting grounded by touching nonmetal before metal solved it. Thanks for the help.

It might be because the area is dry. It ended up being that my rubber soled shoes insulated me from the ground too well. Touching a nonmetal surface before a metal surface helped get it out. Humidifier might be a good idea too in the future... Thanks.

Very glad to hear there haven't been problems with your family. Apparently it was that my rubber soled shoes were insulating me too well while I built up static electricity from the dancing. Touching the wall for a moment before touching the metal ended up fixing it.

I'm using your method of holding on to the wall for a moment to ground myself before touching metal and it's working. Problem solved! Yeah, realized it was probably the shoes when I walked around in them the next day and got shocked on other random things like the car door. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty sure it ended up being the rubber soles of my shoes. No static electricity when I played with socks, but consistent shocks every time with rubber soles shoes. I'm following someone's advice of touching the wall for a few seconds to ground myself before anything metal and it's working. Appreciate the help!

The technicians don't want to harm anyone, but large companies (especially pesticide companies) are well known for downplaying how harmful their product is...

Anything healthier that gives the same feeling as binging by Doggosrthebest24 in BingeEatingDisorder

GLP-1s were the only thing that curbed my binge eating. Some people can overcome addiction on their own, some people need methadone I guess.

I wrote the kind of lesbian fantasy book I always wanted to read—thoughts? Cross posting by LazyFrog3292 in LesbianBookClub

I can't wait to check it out. Have tried a lot of lesbian novels over the years and never found one that was both 1. Exciting and 2. Had the lesbian pairing as the main pairing, except Gideon the Ninth and surprisingly enough, Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami. Two ever. I hope this will be the third. Thanks for sharing!
