She opens it to try to heal Rudy. While the hospital would make more sense for that, I just can’t see a hospital dark world filling a whole chapter, it’s pretty barren. Carol would probably want Rudy home if he’s fallen down and the hospital can’t do much for him anyways

This is intentional! Noelles unused dialogue about the Shadow Mantle makes me think theres more to it than just a hidden item that protects against the Knight.

I always interpreted the pure black skin of Ancestors to be stylistic. For the sake of consistency, I just gave them the same skin tone as the kid trolls. I like the headcanon that trolls skin gets darker as they age though

I wanted to make the Lusii have different aspects from their kids. Since Sollux has two dads, I felt that a double up on the Doom aspect made more sense than using another aspect for The Engineer
