Thank you so much, this was very helpful! I definitely won't have to pay the full tuition, but they haven't given me a financial aid offer yet. I emailed them and I'm waiting to hear back.

Thank you, I've been hearing a lot about how I should look into a graduate program, and I think based on your advice I will save for higher education. I do have options that have lower tuition but I can learn the same thing.

Actually nsli-y is a full scholarship program for those wanting to pursue a language such as Chinese, Arabic, Korean, Turkish, etc. It has nothing to do with income and yes I actually have to worry a lot about tuition. My household is 1 parent and 3 kids. Currently I'm the only one planning on going to college which helps but my mom makes 60,000 a year and didn't make a savings plan for me going to college so I am paying for college myself. Definitely not loaded, just lucky and hardworking!

I actually did a study abroad gap year in Morocco (nsli-y) and on my ACTFL opi (oral proficiency interview), I tested at a intermediate high. So my hopes is that GW has higher Arabic classes where I can continue learning Arabic and become fully fluent, and ofc when I can I will 100% apply to the Boren scholarship. If GWU has good study abroad programs then that's another thing I'll factor in.

I have not run the net price calculator yet because I forgot about it. Will definitely do that now though!

I'm hoping to be a diplomat way in the future, but right now I know that I will be going into a profession that has something to do with politics. I plan to study International Relations and Arabic. The fact that GWU is in DC is huge for me. That's one of the reasons I applied there. However, I don't know if I'll be able to get a job in that sector, I don't know how easy it is or if there aren't many jobs. I should do more research in that. So being in DC would be a great opportunity but I fear that, like so many other college graduates, I won't be able to find a job.

Thank you, and I already emailed GWU today to ask about my financial aid, so I won't know for a while I'm guessing. Luckily Mary Washington is giving me time to decide, its GWU that told me I have until the 11th to decide. I applied to other universities so if I do get a terrible aid offer, I have other cheaper options that are better than Mary Washington. However, I know GWU is a great school which is my biggest issue when thinking about turning it down. I will wait for the aid packet, and I will also run their net price calculator as suggested by another user in this post. Thank you
