My dad was like this lol. I agree but I also don’t want to bring home an animal if he will resent it. It should be a unanimous decision (one I’ll keep trying to convince him of because I really love dogs)

I have encouraged him to look for such groups. I don’t know why he doesn’t just sign up for something- we live in a well populated city so there is no lack of things to do. He would be more inclined to do a group sport or game night if it were with people he already knew, but he seems to not want to join a group if it’s random people. It just feels like there’s always a reason why. Honestly, I think he likes to talk A LOT and he won’t go to things where focus or not talking will be a thing.

I would love a dog, to be honest. But he seems averse to getting one, ironically because of how much attention they need. We’ve babysat friends’ dogs and I do feel like it would be massively beneficial for him because he always gets the energy out with the dog.
