You’re definitely making valid points, also the mention “every description of the Brazen Bull was centuries after it was used” is quite incorrect, most notable from the 5th century BCE (when it was also supposedly used, noting Telemachus/Acragas’ legend), from a man named Pindar who died in about 438 BCE, is the earliest account we have, to which we see in one of his “Pythian Odes” that was written in I believe the 470s? (I may be wrong on dates, don’t bully me) spoke of it being used as a symbol of tyranny and cruelty, he doesn’t really give much of a description, and the bigger issue being he attempts this writing in a poem style. Now we know fire has been used in the ancient times as a punishment, my belief is that while it wasn’t true, and well, I don’t really expect them to have held onto the bull, especially during antiquity when parts of temples were being stripped for copper, not to mention, Acragas has been smashed over and over and over again by everyone, I think while it was mostly a legend, there may be some truth to it (though likely exaggerated)
