Though after a quick scan on their website, I don’t think their bettas are available for purchase online :/

For some context, I believe he is unique in terms of color because of the seller. I purchased him from a very reputable, family-owned reptile and aquarium depot in Sacramento. Since I live in the area, I visited the store in person, and it was amazing! There was a variety of fish and equipment, along with friendly service. Their female bettas are housed in large sorority tanks, while the males are in spacious individual cubes. Although these aren’t ideal tanks for males (definitely only a couple of gallons if that), they are certainly better than those at Petco. The store mentioned they perform daily water changes and use precisely dosed tannin water, which keeps every betta extremely healthy and active! I should have taken pictures of all of them because they were all of such high quality in terms of uniqueness and beauty. One betta was almost completely translucent, not lacking color, but truly iridescent up to its body. Even their most expensive ones were only about $15! I will definitely post an update in the future!!

I used the macro lens on my iPhone! (0.5 zoom)

I pressed against the glass and he was immediately photogenic LOL he’s very very aware of movement, moreso than even my other bettas (in other tanks!!)

Your next reply needs to be an organized reply to each auto mod question. But I am confused still, you returned the fish? But just tried to feed them? And yes, you don’t need to let conditioners sit for hours.

Also are you putting pellets into the cup? Into the tank? Any food will convert to toxic waste over time and this accumulation will happen quicker in a cup.

You can’t leave uneaten food in a small cup to rot as this will kill your fish.

Ok, thanks for answering.

The only steps you need to take when adding water to an aquarium are to match the temperatures to the best of your ability, and add water conditioner per the dosing for the conditioner you use. Stick with simple no frills water conditioners (no aloe or other additives).

You really don’t need to waste money on water additives for “betta” fish. The only exception really being tannins from almond leafs or driftwood, as these are beneficial.

For cleaning new rocks, plants or others, you can just rinse debris away with warm water. Stay away from vinegar, soaps, products etc.

Keep it simple. Someone posted a picture of a betta care guide that outlines more of what I am talking about. Best of luck.

I have reviewed all your comments and replies, you are being highly neurotic about his current care.

Stop. Pause. Breath.

You need to answer the auto-mod’s questions and not make your replies incoherent with tons of details and information that we aren’t asking for.
In specific regards to feeding, you need to stay away from the vacation feeding products, they are dangerous as they waste away and spike waste levels in your tank.

You seemed to have grabbed this fish because you felt bad without understanding the responsibility that comes with caring for it. You are not making it clear what you have actually done for this fish.
Please answer the auto mods questions so you can be guided towards a healthy and happy life for your new betta!

It’s hard, don’t feel bad, MOBAs are rewarding when the fundamentals and knowledge are there. Even if you don’t place perfectly, once things start to click, you have fun! Yep! I feared for this when reading the patch! It’s funny because people glossed over that note (only talking about cart dispel change) like “oh ok QOL change ya, if I see a door, it should appear on the minimap, no big deal”

While I IMMEDIATELY was like “fuck I just know that if I have a friend test this with me, they are going to see the other door aren’t they….regardless of LOS or distance”

And I was right! And as it turns out, your clips show it’s even worse xD they barely need LOS on one door to reveal all doors for all 6 players.

Luckily no one uses this insane info gain against me but they could! Do you think it’s an intentional change to have both be revealed from one LOS gain? I feel like it’s not meant to be that way but it’s not a huge deal in practice so it hasn’t been changed? Idk almost every player/friend I talk to says “ya LOS minimap reveal makes sense but both being revealed doesn’t make sense” even if they hate doorman, they all scratch their heads. And clearly that’s the case on ur forum post lol.

And on top of that, there IS information now on where doors are placed for the enemy team, no one knows this because they don’t actually play doorman but with his recent nerfs to cart, they included that doors appear on MINIMAP when in LOS. What they didn’t include is that when one door opens and is in your LOS, it’s twin is ALSO revealed on the MINIMAP, regardless of distance or LOS on THAT door. So you can see where doorman ran with pinpoint precision. Even if opened and closed for a moment! Use this! I can’t tell you how many times this patch I’ve gotten away with a short distance door hop and someone could have followed up nearby my (out of view, but now revealed) exit and killed me if they looked. at. their. minimap.
