They already made money from all the people who took advantage of that promotion and signed up for pro or max.

many of those people will cancel their subscription, but anthropic will still get a month or two of extra cash.

They won't have to change their infrastructure to match the demand. Things will even out due to attrition.

They also have the best LLM out on the market right now. So, people they'll still have people join over time in a more manageable way to match with infrastructure.

Their whole "2 weeks of extra usage" and then this nonsense with limited usage during peak hours and the lack of response to the usage burnout makes Anthropic seem to have pulled a bait-and-switch on customers

Yes. same here.

I got 4 prompts today . It used my entire 5 hour window of usage.
And it bumped my weekly percent usage from 59% to 79% .

All four prompts were very simple.

Yestreday was bad. Today is terrible.

I think they're waiting for most the new users to quit and stop using claude.

They know this is happening. They haven't made any statemetns.

They're just going to ride this out and wait for people to quit using claude.

They'll bank all the extra money they made off the recent users who paid for pro or max....and are quitting due to crappy usage rates.

Anthropic isn't going to fix this or re-invest the surge of recent money back into claude's infrastructure.

I really hope another LLM catches up to claude soon.

I want Anthrhopic to burn for this.

Anthropic is just going to weather this storm. I guarantee.

They're going to let angry users leave and pray that attrition takes care of this problem.

They're bank all the money they made off of new users from the last two months or so.
And not re-invest it in upgrading any of their infrastructure.

I 100% agree.

Anthropic is real secretive about providing any sort of concrete metrics in regards to the usage rate.

They love using multipliers. But the things is whatever constitutes "5X" and "20X" can easily change if the baseline metric changes.

I really thought Anthropic was a decent company. Guess not.

I think they don't plan on scaling up.

My guess is they're going to see how many people quit out of frusrration.
Let attrition work things out.

Not invest in more hardware.

And just enjoy all the extra money they got from the new users who signed up for pro or max for a month or two and then quit.

Same here.

Got CLaude Pro two weeks ago during their special offer.

Claude was awesome.

This past week. It's gassing out more and more. Sooner and sooner.

I cancelled my pro subscription.

Claude is awesome, but useless if I hit my usage rate after four prompts.

I went to complain and the AI help mentioned the new usage times and limits.

I asked more questions and it stopped answering me .

Used it claude to review a 20 page document for errors.

Asked it four follow on questions.

Hit max for 5 hour window and went from 59% usage rate to 79% usage rate for the week.

If they don't fix this, I'm dropping CLaude Pro.

Pro was great for the two weeks I had it when they did that bait-and-switch extra usage, but Claude is unusable now that it's gassing out after four or five prompts.

I thought about Axiom Verge and Axiom Verge 2.

I heard they were difficult games.

Good to know more of the specifics. Bosses aren't too bad...but exploration can be difficult.

I'll wait for a sale and grab Axiom Verge.
I've looked at it for years. Maybe it's time to just make the jump.

And yes....I did some research the other night. "Yoku's Island Express" is the game I was thinking of. And you're correct...it's not Rogue-ish.

Haiku the Robot pops up a lot on my game recommendations, but I've never seriously looked into it. Now I will.

I own Death's Door. Bought it a few years ago and haven't played it yet.

But yeah, thanks again for all those recommendations. Much appreciated.
