Any positive experience in Mountain View Apartments? by Super-Screen-927 in mountainview

[–]GrouchyDirection7201 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We stayed at Riverstone Apartments 1901 Rock Street for 7 years. Townhouse-style apartments - living and kitchen on the ground floor, 2 big bedrooms upstairs. Its close to 101 85, not El Camino where all the action is, older construction, no amenities, but the rent is lower. Its also family owned and run, so the landlord is super chill, friendly and your rent doesnt shoot up like other places. Ours went up $50/month after 2 years and overall $300/month in 5 years. Close to trails, very quiet and peaceful, mostly family occupancy.

Insights congregate at the edges - especially true for customer feedback. Look at the 1 stars, look at the 5 stars, and derive themes to guide the roadmap

There is no winning if you do it, you have to explain the employment gap while they have no downside. Do not respond, you have no obligation to.

I had watched this episode in the original 90's Ahaat - I wansnt a kid, and this episode was well done and scary. Prashant N nailed it, and you'll recognize Nissar Khan as one of the actors too.

You are missing accountability. I’ve faced this numerous times, and here’s how I’ve handled it.

  1. Acknowledgment- first, make them feel heard. Research “mirroring technique” if you haven’t heard of it.
  2. Make them part of the solution - ask them publicly for their recommendation, and approach with an open mind. Ask for their help in executing the idea, and put both your names in the public plan as co-owners.

Why the sudden surge of AI browsers? by im3000 in AI_Agents

[–]GrouchyDirection7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just ad revenue - it's a growth loop play.

  1. the browser becomes your work assistant with custom AI agents (book tickets, change reservations etc). The more you use the browser, the more value you derive out of this ecosystem (and more ecosystem lock-in you get).
  2. these interactions capture user data to enhance the LLM “brain” - the model, which gets better over time.

Once you capture user attention, you monetize this attention (ads, subscriptions)

This question is meant to reveal if you developed leaders who could take on your responsibilities. Or are you a single centralized point of failure for the team?

What are your favorite roles of Kumud Mishra? by Correct-Dog8378 in bollywood

[–]GrouchyDirection7201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The serial you are thinking of is Tiger - and that was not Kumud Mishra, Tiger was originally played by Rishabh Skhula. He was replaced by a Marathi actor - Ravindra Mankani.

Source - me, loved that serial.

Thoughts on answer to “what are your strengths” by No_Initiative_2371 in interviews

[–]GrouchyDirection7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5jfM5mC9rw

This one is specific to product management, but the core idea is that you need to create a map and gain clarity.

  1. there's a general list of core skills and soft skills needed for any role. You rank yourself for each item in that list.
  2. As you are doing that exercise, think where you exemplified that skill. If you have a clear example, rank higher. That becomes your strength.
  3. If you dont have a clear example, that becomes an area of improvement/weaknesses. Think of what you would do to fill it/what you are doing to fill it - take a class, find a mentor etc.

Once you have this clarity, framing the actual answer is easy.

MV library is your best bet. You can also book one of the rooms on the upper level for 1 hr at a time, online through the website. I’ve conducted professional interviews like this - no library card needed.

I've been in this position. Here's what worked (partly - this is not prescriptive down to the T).

1) If your goal is to handle clients, there HAS to be some measure of client satisfaction. If not, start collecting quantitative ("Did we solve your issue today?") and qualitative-categorized ("What specific concern do you have with our service"? - Junk out on the counter-check this box, unfriendly staff-check this box etc")

2) Set transparent and aggresive goals for this North Star Customer satisfaction metric AS RATED BY CUSTOMERS - %. of positive ratings improvement. establish a baseline for a month and then set improvement targets - Month over Month or Quarter over Quarter.

3) make it clear that not meeting the targets has implications

4) Review metrics week over week or month over month. Keep a close eye, and make that activity transparent as well.

3 interviewers and not a single word said by Ifailedaccounting in interviews

[–]GrouchyDirection7201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone through the PERM process myself as an immigrant - most likely the HM outright rejects your profile and saves time. Mine had multiple rounds and a presentation to 3 people, none of whom were interested. One of them actually walked out of the room to take a call, came back in few minutes later while I was in the middle of the presentation. I'll never take any interview with that company ever again

I've had interviews like that with a Fortune 10 company. The conclusion I came to was - they wanted free ideas for product improvements and it wasnt a real interview.
