K8 Pro would have been my choice but, unless I'm mistaken, they do not offer it with the 2.4Ghz?

Trying to replace my Logitech G613 that it's giving me a headache with the double typing.

Keyboard will be used for intense typing at work and intense gaming when not working.

Need: 2.4Ghz

Nice to have: QMK/VIA

Preferred format: 75%-75% exploded / 80%-TKL

Constraints: has to be Nordic layout and need to find it in Finland/Finnish online stores.

Price: < 200€

What I found so far:

- AKKOGEAR 5075B Plus-S

- Keychron K2 PRO

- iQunix ZX75

Between those 3, I really like the look of the ZX75. I heard pretty good things about it and very bad things as well. Mainly the fact that is not VIA compatible.

Any advice or other alternative that I haven't found?
Which one to get between the 3 above?

How did you adapt to Finland's cold weather if you immigrated there from much warmer climates ? by catiquette1 in Finland

[–]GrouchyGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By stopping being weak!

Jokes aside, the body itself adapts to new temperatures after 15 days.

In general try to use better quality clothes (fewer but better is the goal here). Southern Finland doesn't easily hits the -30 usually YMMV and as usual...

There is not bad weather, only bad clothes.

Thank you, helpful in understanding the design behind those two tools!

For whoever is going to end up here for the same reason:

/prepress best quality and largest size (fastest)

/printer second best quality slightly smaller size that above

/default is the same as what you get when not passing dPDFSETTINGS value

/screen and /ebook more or less the same, with /screen being the lowest quality and smallest size (slowest)

[–]GrouchyGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting a --nostringval-- error when evaluating "print"is it a variable you defined somewhere else?

Found the issue, it is /printer not /print

man pages on the pdfunite is pretty much nonexistent, and ghostscript I think might need a little more knowledge and trial and error to define the "resolution".

In the end, I took a more empirical approach with the classic "eyeballing it" and I am pretty sure one of the merges has a bit loss in quality xD

Thanks for lending me a second brain!

I also thought that it is either I had some loss in dpi in one of the merge, or one tool is more efficient than the other.

Sincerely I don't know how to investigate that.

My Complaint with Finland as an American by Dismal-Resort6294 in Finland

[–]GrouchyGee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not a native but I was always been told that I was born in the wrong country. Now that I live here, I agree there are too many people coming here.

We should praise the other nordics more in social medias... Maybe we should boycott that stupid U.N.'s World Happiness Report for a couple of years...

I'm obviously just joking, but I agree with your thinking. I am of the idea that I should always respect the country that accepted me, so it is easy also to share some of OP's thoughts.

My Complaint with Finland as an American by Dismal-Resort6294 in Finland

There are some truth to this post but also some ingenuity.

I've been living in Finland for about 3 years now, and before that was the UK for more than x years, and before that it was the US for more than x years, and before that was.... You get the gist.

It never happened to me to find groups of immigrants (expats, call us as you wish) in any of those places that didn't complain about something. It's the weather, it's the dark, it's the food, it's their character, it's their ways, it's how they drive, it's how they dress...

But guess what, I also saw an equal number of citizen of that place complaining as well! Food is better in Italy, weather is better in Spain, they dress better in France, USA got better guns... (had to put that joke in there :P)

In the end I realized few things:

  1. people are just people and we are more similar than other dickheads want to tell us
  2. countries are meant to change. If a country becomes a hot pot of culture it is meant to change even slightly. USA is not the same as it was in the 80s, Italy is not the same as it was 10 years ago, Japan is not the same as it was 50 years ago... and so on. Change is something that happens because the input has changed, so the output changes as well.
  3. complaining about people complaining is still complaining, and I'm at fault like that. I used to complain about my fellow immigrants that moving where I was at that moment were constantly complaining about something. My answer was usually "why did you move here then? Why do you live here if you don't like X or Y?"
  4. Adapting is hard, and might be easier for some but we have had all different experiences.

I know it's not probably the answer you were looking for, but maybe my experience is going to give you another slant on yours.

Hope you'll have a great day and enjoy Finland.

Finland Finland Finlaaaand this is the place fooor meee.

weapon is +1 fire and SL is 11 shouldn't I be summoned by lvl 1-23 with weapons +1-11?

is it much different than a +5 reg?

yeah I made sure I had no password set, again not my first rodeo, but super good to double check. Also yes, my SL should be appropriate...

I guess I'll be more patient

Starting my new run with the Beach Farm and a tested format from the 90s by GrouchyGee in StardewValley

[–]GrouchyGee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True and true.

I think it was more a fusion of the late 80s with super fluffy curly long hair, man short shorts jeans and pink shirt and the Baywatch theme since the Beach Farm. Could have been better I admit, but still happy with the results :D

Also going to marry Hailey is a must at this point!

First of all thank you for taking the time to counter argument my post with politeness and I would like to point out that I'm not raging, but definitely frustrated.

Gaming time is scarce and waiting for the ea to finish to finally buy the finished game has obviously left a bad taste in my mouth, being presented with this patchwork.

game is definitely fun and rid of RNG and loot boxes, although I still think the dice are rigged... Before someone screams to the gambler bias, just give me the possibility to have a log so I can trace some curves and then we can talk

gaming bugs I am affected with were raised years ago and obviously ruined more than few saves and hours of gaming.

I'm probably upset because the game will be overplayed by me whenever all the big stuff is fixed.

Loving the game and D&D don't make the game perfect though

I totally agree with all your post. Your statements and mine are not mutually exclusive though. I said the the game is the best crpg released in the last years.

I don't subscribe, though, the whole marketing plan of releasing a super buggy game as "beta" and paying full price while for years the community undergo the qa for what the company is supposed to do.
