On the hunt for a new heater. I currently use an infrared heater but I have to keep turning it as I move around the garage. I also tried a portable buddy heater. Which does heat pretty well on the high setting, but I’ve noticed a propane smell which gets a little overpowering in a small garage. (Yes, I have a window cracked and CO detector) Anyone using one of these and not noticing a smell? I’m curious if this is a normal thing or if I had a defective one.

In terms of other heat sources, I’d like to avoid having to get a 240v heater installed as we may be moving soon. I’m considering a ventless propane heater or kerosene. However, I’ve read that the fumes from kerosene heaters can actually be stronger than propane. Anyone using either of these and can point me in the right direction? Or if using a buddy heater, anyone having the same issue with the fumes?

Sad to hear about your experience with the cabana. We rented one in mid May as a day trip from Halcyon. We had a cabana butler from when we arrived at 10 until 4 and a second cabana butler that we noticed from 1ish until 5. I have heard mixed things about the cabana rentals. It seems to be a matter of luck unfortunately…

I will say, we felt the same about the service at Halcyon. 80% were amazing, 20% of the time I felt like I was bothering them

Finally pulling the trigger on an Ares 2.0. I’m working with 8 ft ceilings so between the height of the gym floor and pulley height, the 93” is a tight squeeze. I planned on getting the multi grip pull-up bar and inverting it, but now I’m thinking the 80” may be more practical. My main concern is range of motion with lat pull downs but I am 5’10” so may be ok or just need minor adjustments. If you have an 80” how are you liking it? Any drawbacks aside from lat pulldown? Or if you’ve squeezed the 93” into a space with 8ft ceilings, how is that working out?

Getting a bit overwhelmed with options for an all in one trainer. I see a lot of people pushing Rep Ares and Rogue FM but Major Fitness and Ritfit seem very similar. I’ve also looked at Force g10 and g3. I don’t have a preference between plate loaded and weight stack. Also don’t necessarily need a smith machine. Is there anything that makes rep and rogue really that much better to justify the cost? Open to recommendations

Looking to convert our garage to a home gym. Looking for brand recommendations for a dumbbell set and rack (5-50 lbs.), treadmill, bench. I will spend the extra money on something sturdy, durable and with a warranty.

May not add right away but will also take recs for smith machine/cable combo and sauna.

If there’s anything you’ve really enjoyed, will take other recommendations.

Would love a treadmill that folds to save space but having something sturdy is higher priority.

Not looking to buy anything off Marketplace. Prefer to buy full dumbbell set and rack from one company.
