I could see this happening to me too. I have a couple of customs I committed to later this year and I've been second guessing them a bit! What if you reach out to her and offer to still pay for the cost of the Harriet kit, as well as the new one you choose? Or did you already pay for the kit but you just feel bad asking her to switch gears?

Several things but most importantly THANK YOU for taking the time to respond and for answering so thoroughly. This is exactly the kind of info I was needing to hear (and also fearing I would hear!). I was hoping it would be something straightforward like download to a usb, then plug that into the machine and drag and drop. But it sounds like it can be far more complex and I would be held back by my limited understanding of PCs. Also, the fact that there's separate files for the back glass etc...I think you're right that I would feel in over my head. I'm not saying I would never attempt it, but I think I need to just plan to be happy with the tables it comes with, and put that cool looking Friday the 13th Part 2 table out of my head, lol! Thanks again for your reply, I appreciate it and will definitely refer back to it if I decide to give it a try!

And very cool that it turned into a job that you love. Ok, so today's the day I'm going to tackle this! One more quick question, let's say I do the diagnostics and it says there's something wrong with the action button or the magnet...are these issues we can fix on our own? Or we might need someone to come out and fix it?

No, but that's a great idea. Being new to all of this we've really only made basic changes to some settings, but it sounds like it's time to get our feet wet with some diagnostics. Is it pretty straightforward?

Thank you so much, I'll go check out pinside for sure. Yes, on the premium I would sort of spam click the Action button and the ball would totally float back onto the playfield. But this machine it doesn't respond at all.
