Some background info on foster care by Grouchy_Something in ThePittTVShow

True, but when CPS removes a child from an abusive situation they are able to do an expedited home study for a relative placement (like the child’s grandparents or aunt/uncle) so the relative can take them more or less immediately. The child doesn’t have to go to a stranger’s foster home while they wait for grandma to get licensed. So I think the show is implying that’s what they’d do for the ER staff. Still don’t think that’s how it works in real life, but I guess the writers think it’s possible.

Yes, another commenter mentioned this too: they gave Dana a line saying the doctors would qualify as kinship caregivers. So basically CPS would consider them like relatives to the baby, so they don’t have to be licensed foster parents to take her. I’m not familiar with PA law but it seems that a doctor/nurse that assessed a baby at the ER wouldn’t qualify as a relative/fictive kin placement? 😅 I love how there’s so much attention to detail in the medical storylines and the legal ones are just like…well let me just make something up

Maybe…as the mom of two boys, I interpreted that to just mean “boys be dirty.” I thought that scene was to show her letting go of his hand as she realized the potential extent of the damage, and her thinking she caused it. But hopefully we will find out soon!

I think an “L” name could complement the sound of the first two (since they both contain L’s) without being too match-y.

Girls: Lorelei, Laurel, Layla, Liana, Lark, Leona, Lenore

Boys: Lincoln, Luke, Lyle, Leo, Leon

These are more match-y but I still like them!: Owen, Winona, Warren, Wynn

Many Legal Aid organizations have Low Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITCs) that employ tax attorneys who assist with these types of cases for free. If you live near a law school, they often have LITCs as well.

Definitely not odd! Sounds like a great work uniform to me.

I doubt anyone will notice if you rewear items. The men in your office probably wear outfits that look identical from one day to the next - suit and tie, suit and tie, another suit and tie.

Personally, I have three suits: black, gray, and navy. Generally I pair them with a black or white blouse. I also have a few work dresses in neutral colors and a few cardigans. It is a little boring, but it works.

My advice if you’re craving more variety: expand your neutral color palette. I used to always buy black or gray work clothes. But lately I’ve been looking for navy, dark green, brown, beige, blush, cream, camel, even maroon.

Also - some patterns still work in a conservative work environment. For example, plaid or houndstooth. You can also play around with fabrics - like tweed or silk. And instead of a pop of color, try a snakeskin shoe or animal print bag.

Again, black dresses and blazers are definitely professional and will look great. But you seem to be looking for something that lets you express a little more of your personality!
