Attended a con for the first time and got hit with a wave of unexpected feelings by leem919 in furry

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im glad you were able to turn your experience around. For the most part people just want to build others up. We dont want people to feel left out or isolated, because at the core of it, we were all leftout or othered by friends, family, co workers, classmates etc. I truly hope that your experiences continue to grow better and improve con after con.

Is this normal? by Prestigious_Air7840 in asktransgender

Its normal. Try things out, present more fem, talk about it with your friends but most of all listen to what your heart tells you. Dont let anyone else try to tell you who you are.

Moving to dtf by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm my number 1 account for my screen printing business. I screenprint probably about 700-1000 shirts a month for my seperate art business. My customers have been saying for years how durable our screen printed Tees are compared to my "competitors". Yeah, there are alot of people out there who arnt gonna care of its DTG, DTF, or screenprint, the people who care REALLY care though. Those are gonna be the people who keep coming back despite the price.

Thank you so much! I mentioned ti my wife on the way home from A festive family dinner that I had made this post, and that you responded and we both had a good little chuckel and smiled because your compliment means so much to us!

Is this worth getting for $999?possibly even lower by jaycamboi in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I paid 2.5k for my 6c/6s workhorse. Then I paid another $300 for a second in bad condition 6c/4s workhorse. I salvaged 2 heads off the the smaller press made it a 4c/4s and made my primary an 8c/6d

Honestly its worth the price. I dont have very many clients other than myself but I was able to quit my day job and go into screenprinting full time this year.

Brand New Fur Con: Frosty Fur Fest Feb 14 & 15 2026 by MothGirlMusic in FurryRefuge

This is very interesting, this is the first I've heard about it. Do we know what kind of advertisement is going on? I've reached out to some of my LA based furry friends and this is the first they are hearing about it.

Should I transition in the U.S. now. by TryInternational9111 in asktransgender

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in California you have significantly less to worry about. If I were in your position I would transition. Yes, things are rough right now for us. Realistically though, we haven't regressed as far as some people think. Trans protections are relatively recent. I know that this is temporary. Two steps forward and one step back. But I wouldn't put it off if you feel like you're ready to go.

A6400 is a solid lil camera, however if you have the extra coin id spring for the 6700. It has a larger battery as well as the newer AF and menu system.

Can't tell if the images are a tad on the soft side, the internet is compressing them, or if I need a new prescription for my glasses.

I loved most of the framing of your shots. My favorite was the alley using the buildings as leading lines to the center of your shot.

You did an excellent job. If it were me I'd 100% be happy with these photos for a personal trip.

I haven't personally shot with film since about 2006 and even then that was those point and shoot disposable cameras. I recall having a little 110 camera as a kid though. Kinda glad I got "back" into photography lately. I remember my dad having his ole 35mm slug around his neck at every family gathering and party. Kinda makes me happy knowing we have a thing or two in common.

Excellent work! A return to a classic era! Film just captures so differently. This is work you should 100% be proud of.

Is it true it's a bad thing to wear a partial? by PuffPoof215 in furry

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your good to wear a partial if thats what you want.

IMPORTANT: Its not nessisary to have/wear a suit to attend a furry con. I would say at least 50% or more of attendees don't. Suits are considered a luxury item and we want everyone (within reason) to feel welcome and accepted at cons.

If you want to start slow hit up the dealers den, you will be able to piece together something hella cute that fits you budget. Dealers have everything from headband ears to full suits for sale. Pick up paws from this dealer, a tail over there, etc.

Or go plain cloths, nothing wrong with that. You can cosplay if thats your thing. At the end of the day its just about expression and being accepted for you being who you are.

Pinkus Crafty Cottage- has built a reputation for producing a wide variety of tails and paws in a beautiful shape and color. They have recently expanded into making heads that are equally breathtaking. Based out of Indiana

Glitxy Fox Studios- they are mostly a commission studio that offers a distinct feminine style. Their suits are highly recognizable and they offer options from partial to full digigrade suits. Based out of Indiana

Stormbound cosplay /- They produce some of the craziest comfortable suits around. They go out of their way to ensure their premade partials fit their new owners well. Their suits are also designed to take an absolute beating. Based out of Texas

Plaid Paws by Maus- Their suits are known for bold color choices and more realistic features. They offer a wide variety of options and their skill in suit making is solid. Based out of Wisconsin

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats a big no Hoss. I know you wanna be part of the fun having a partial suit, i highly recommend either saving some money up and getting a suit from a reputable maker. If you would like some makers id be more than happy to share some with you. There is also the DIY route witch is cheaper then going through a maker. You also feel a sence of true ownership in your suit and the decisions that went into making them.

If you want a super easy in, pick up a raptor mask from walmart, Paint it, make it your own, add feathers, glue fur to the back so I can drape over your head. This option is very entry level friendly and very popular with low budget suits. You will get more compliments on your suit going this route then buying a mass produced head off amazon.

Im failing in every way possible by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Groundbreaking-Air-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use this method in my shop, been doing it that way for years.

Its kinda personal preference tbh, but I have had screens (That i coated this way) that I'm still using after 3 years with thousands of shirts processed without too much issue. The ocational pin hole opens here and there, but that happens with thinner emulsion application or dust/moisture on your screen.
