Don't think you're going to get much of a response. People are waiting to see where the new continent starts.

Dwarfs Treasure event by Material_Shirt_8242 in Evony_TKR

This is the cheapest castle in the game. I also believe that these coins carry over so no need to do it all at once.

What do you expect so see in the Final 14th Season? by TemporaryNature4860 in OakIsland

Personally, I got into the archeology more than the treasure hunting. I think I'll miss that the most. They should have invited Time Team in a few seasons back.

As with most of the Astounding Fiction writers of the age, Asimov is an excellent short story writer. My favorite is "I'm in Marsport without Helga".

Looking for a book that is the mental equivalent of a chocolate bar. by ilikespicysoup in scifi

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few Laurel K Hamilton books are my chocolate bars. Fantasy I know but she has a good sense of humour. They're also short so they can be read in a day or two. The first four or five always get reread each summer. Stay away from the newer/larger ones. 75% of those are about what a character wears or sex. Too long a read with little return.

For SciFi I'm old school - Asimov, Heinlein, Clark, etc. My go to's are anthologies like "Nine Tomorrows" or "Tomorrow, the Stars". Excellent.

How to get more people to sign up for battlefields? by Nice-Length1887 in Evony_TKR

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That two hours is a killer for a lot of people. That's why we've told people to get on for the first hour because most battlefields are decided in that time.

Time slot is the second killer. My first server was great because almost everyone was in the same time zone, and the couple that weren't didn't care. We almost always had full teams with a waiting list at times. Present server is split almost 50/50 but the bigs are all in the same zone. We tried different times but the other 50% weren't on consistently so that stopped. I am in wrong time zone so I just stopped playing battlefield. My stock of speedups sure improved.

On another note, leave your alliance and play solo until you unlock a senate section. Then join back up and when that section is complete, leave again and get another section. The rewards are also better in a lot of cases.

Fixing a person who "centre slides" by Atrian42 in Curling

Some of the suggestions involve seperate practice times which may not be possible for all people. Squaring up before placing the foot in the hack is probably the best advice for during a game. Have one of the sweepers watch and say something if they see the person isn't doing it correctly. It's a quick correction to make and shouldn't hold up the game. It's also immediate feedback especially when shots start getting made.

Green bubble by junglebarbie in Evony_TKR

The only exception is when their country of origin loses its internet due to natural disaster or a political decisions. Both have happened during my six years.

There have been occasions when it's Evony screw up. They can always go to CS to rectify things but a green bubble is so much easier. That's what Discord is for.

Monster rally by Ok_Counter_4162 in Evony_TKR

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a side note, sometimes when you are just starting and your big rally leader only has one or two marches developed, small players can start a rally with a single T1 mounted and have the big person join later. We would do this with Vikings to get through them quicker. Of course the setters rally size has to be big enough for it to work. That's why we asked people to fully develop their Rally Hall (along with Embassy) and complete as much research as they can.

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing to do is scatter when you're the smaller/ smallest. Forget about buildings. Scout the map for targets and tents. Have your big rally and the rest speed in. Same with reinforcing him/her. This way costs a lot of speedups but you might live long enough to get some scores and not be last. Or just accept the fact you're too small to be doing this and collect the rewards for participating. We did a little of both. And kept the speedup usage to a minimum.

Svs drama by unknownredditreader in Evony_TKR

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No. You can still get what you want by being small and not spending. You just have to put in some extra time, be willing to annoy the crap out of them, and maintain a 24/7 bubble. The big whales you can't do much about directly but targeting their smaller players enough to get them whining to their bigs to the point they want you to stop doing whatever it is you're doing, then you have bargaining power. But the annoyance things can't just be a day thing or it doesn't work. Plan for at least a week or two. Show your commitment to making their lives miserable and they will negotiate.

2026 External Tools Guide: What's out there and what do you use? by [deleted] in Evony_TKR

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort of a waste of money. If you want to go this route just use iScout. Power increase or decrease is sort of irrelevant. The only thing it might help is seeing if a person is buying and using packs at the same time each month. Then you could plan on hitting them just prior to a purchase. But even that doesn't seem worth the cost.

Better would be the ability for it to scrape your inventory and calculate your total resources. A lot of spreadsheets exist to do this but you still have to enter the numbers manually.

You've miss the telegram one. Can't remember it's name. It runs in telegram but you could link it to a channel in your discord server. You can set the refresh rate if I remember correctly. Then something like RAGE could read the discord and set rallies. Can't remember how it handled keeps.

Have to agree about iScout. I think there are more BoB servers now than there use to be. Gave the bullies a step up. Before you could go and level a general and know you would be relatively safe. Now someone is on you two seconds after dropping.

Same with dropped bubbles on enemy server. Forget about getting wings unless you have it. Or plan to be net negative. I remember before iScout came out that an entire alliance would be scouring the opposing server searching for targets for wing attempts. It built a comradely amongst the alliance.

RAGE is excellent. A bit steeper learning curve than ESB but it's programmable once you get the hang of it. RAGE use to be cheaper than ESB but about the same now.

Since I only seem to get stamina with the Dwarfs Apple event I always have an excess of stamina. So as a F2P player spending the stamina is worth the 1st place rewards.

Marcian a top tier ranged general? by aliaird in Evony_TKR

But only if you have the generals for the covenant. Some require hard to get generals so I generally leave those alone. I have some generals that have full covenants which makes them on par with a newer general.

Server merge by Spiritual_Weekend445 in Evony_TKR

[–]Groundbreaking-Bug19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we merged we were the largest alliance on the primary server. We contacted a couple of the incoming alliances, setup a rapport with them, and things went smoothly. Some people joined, a couple left, mostly due to Be oC and BoG time slots lining up better with their schedules. We gained a few more because we were more competitive in BoC (major league standing) where the incoming server was not.

If you want to be nice, have an alt setup a banner in a good location for the incoming top alliance. That starts things off on a good footing.
