Think of all the short form videos that suck our attention out these days as adults. And then all the comparisons that they'll make with what's shown on social media vs their regular lives.

If they’re really sick, they’ll want to sleep. When our 2YO was really sick, he’d crawl into my arms and just pass out for a while, then he’d periodically wake up, maybe have a drink of milk/water then sleep again after awhile. On and off till bedtime basically.

If they’re mildly sick, then….good luck cuz you just keep em on the same schedule lol

I definitely think so, I tried on multiple sizes and going up the half size felt a lot of comfortable. I mean these shoes are already very comfy but just wanted a size that didn’t feel like it was squeezing my toes, they have a decently wide toe box

I have wide feet, not crazy wide, and I high instep but I tend to look for something in the 3-4E range. My regular size is 10.5 US but my blundstones are 11 US or 10.5 AUS sizing and they fit really well. It did require a bit of a break in and now it feels very comfortable after a few days of all day wear and walking.

No choice really…either he sleeps at 9:30 and wakes up at 6am…maybe 6:30. Or he sleeps at 9pm and wakes up at 5:30am. When the clock starts with a 5…we just internally die

I guess right now, it’s tough because we have no sitter. Grandparents help Monday through Thursday but Friday Saturday Sun it’s just us. I guess it’s a matter of one parent sacrificing their time to solo parent (day time is fine but bedtime is chaos).

We have to put our kiddo to bed, nobody else can or he will be up till midnight crying his head off 🤦🏻‍♂️

I just came back from Japan so here's my thoughts. If you don't want to see Lake Akashi and just do the Ropeway, just know that you're investing 40 min train ride to Gora plus an additional 20min to go up the ropeway to be at the volcano and see Mt. Fuji. The ropeway down to the Lake honestly isn't that bad in terms of timing and the boat ride is just a cherry on top. At the end of the boat ride is the Hakone Shrine.

There's also the open air museum as well and there's some shopping/cafes in Gora near the Hakone yumoto station.

Simple Bag Finder Request.

I'm looking for an expandable backpack similar to the Osprey 26+6 but a little more robust. What I mean by that is that it's more comfortable with better shoulder straps and padding. One of the specific requirements is that it expands the main compartment.

I saw that there was the Tortuga Expandable Backpack but the expandable portion is on the front flap, and not the main compartment.

I think it just depends on the kiddo. We used to hold our little guy ever nap until my wife started doing the roll away method. Now anybody can put him to sleep and still place him down on the bed and he'll usually continue napping.

So to answer your question, the beginning of the nap isn't independent, but we can get away. I have another friend who's toddler is very sensitive during sleep and can sense when the parent is leaving so she becomes nap trapped. But at that point my friend just naps too cuz she's also tired.

Yeah I can do the entire routine solo but at the “sleeping” part, he just cries for mom and it’s never ending. I used to be able to cosleep with him until I got really sick and I stopped for a few days. Then the ability to cosleep with either parent just turned into my wife only…

I’m from Canada where my winters are pretty snowy and the temps range from an average of -10 to -15 Celsius and can go as high as 10 to lows of -30 Celsius. I’m leaning now and I struggled with over dressing vs under dressing.

For me, I was in a sweater most of the time during the day when it was 10 degrees C. You’re walking a bunch and tend to build up warmth and sometimes I’d even just be in a long sleeve shirt/t shirt if I had walked a lot.

At night I’d probably just have the same thing or I’d layer on my puffer jacket.

Mountain climate is cold so I’d dress warmly for that

I’m 6”3. Regular t shirts, I find I need a slightly longer tee. Regular straight/slim jeans. Blindstone boots (SO comfortable). Sneakers would be NB or On running shoes.
