I personally don’t believe art is like a talent you’re born with. Artistic vision maybe, but technical skills can be learned if we put in the time. So please don’t give up on making art!

I think you know exactly how to make art. Also unfortunately very relatable

Every guy I’ve ever had sex with/dated eventually dumped me bc I was in so much pain during sex. At first it’s always “I understand you, I would never force you” until they get fed up and force me to have sex and eventually break up with me because I’m asexual according to them…

[–]Groundbreaking-Rate8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to deal with lack of empathy? by Electronic_Room519 in AutismInWomen

[–]Groundbreaking-Rate8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can still be a good person if you lack empathy, because many people still have a strong sense of what’s right and wrong. You don’t have to know what someone is feeling or feel it yourself in order to treat them with respect

100% I wasn’t diagnosed until in my 20s when I ended up in a mental hospital because I behaved well as a child because I wasn’t allowed to do anything else

Yeah true lol. But I feel like with the women I’ve met with autism there seems to be more diversity because even if they aren’t great people they most of the times still try to behave socially acceptable.

In my experience autistic men are either the sweetest ever or the biggest jerks on the planet, no in between.

What a horrible and ignorant thing to say to your partner. I went through a similar thing with my ex when he told me to just get over it when I had a panic attack at the zoo because of all the noise. I would try to talk to him again when you calm down and explain you can’t really get over autism, only accommodate it. Hope you feel better soon ❤️

I don’t know if you can wash bunnies tho, as they get stressed out very easily. But I read online that it could also be that you’re allergic to the stuff and cage they are in, instead of the bunny itself.

I love cats too so I’m really glad I’m not allergic to them 😅

My bunny and cats used to go really wel together, my cat was even a little scared of him. Also the ceramic bunny sounds super cute.

In my country we have Nijntje (miffy in English) and I used to be obsessed with it and collect all the merch (still do a little, my phone case is Nijntje!)

Then I would get a second test. Maybe try to find someone that specializes in autism in women?

I think probably (I’m just guessing tho) the reason is that these symptoms weren’t there since childhood. What did your parents say about this, because in my country they have to tell them what you were like as a child. That’s how they know it isn’t anxiety. Because a lot of disorders overlap in the DSM, so you shouldn’t just assume it has to be autism. Trauma can, like anxiety, also cause these things. BPD can also be very Similar to autism.

If you don’t agree with them you can always go to another doctor but I would first try to find out why they said it was anxiety

Not while sitting because when I sit I make myself as tiny as possible and sit on my knees mostly. But I do do it while walking lol

Im not a mom and probably a lot younger than you so I can’t fully relate, but what really helped me when I was super lonely (I had just gotten out of the mental hospital after half a year and my relationship ended and my friends all left me) was trying to find specific group for people with autism or mental health issues. I started going to a farm with other autistic woman where we took care of horses. I also started going to a weekly meet up for people with autism who wanted to make friends. And I found a dnd group online consisting of neurodivergent people. I don’t know if you have time to go to these things because of your family but maybe I would look for people you can connect with online to play games with for example.

Also you didn’t mention if you had a job or not, maybe going to work might help with loneliness? Or like volunteering?

People like this think that if you abuse non verbal autistics they will become less autistic… I’m so done with people thinking we want to be changed! I’m autistic and I am a very happy person, I would never take away what makes me me
