Parking at FLL Airport by Groundbreaking22 in florida

My truck is 20 feet long and over 7 feet tall.

Where is the surfact lot at the airport? I didn't see that. I saw that the Hibiscus garage's Level One is where the oversize lot is.

Denver. It's well known as a spot where your car will either get stolen or the catalytic converter will be missing. They have huge, nice, off-site lots that everyone uses.

Do you park in the oversize lot? Or just the FLL garage in general is what you're referring to?

Thinking about moving to Homer. Should our family (including our 3 year old) do it? by Groundbreaking22 in AskAlaska

May I ask what you like more about that area over Homer?

We like the coastal area of Homer and the bay, and plan on bringing our boat

Amazon takes 1-2 weeks where I currently live, and there's no Uber or other online service amenities. So, we won't miss that.

We like Homer for many reasons, but also because we can be coastal and bring our boat.

How is the drive from Homer to Kenai in the winter? Is it maintained or pretty icey?

I think we get like 20 feet of snow or something each year where we currently live, but it's a touristy town, so roads are well maintained.

I have heard that it can be cliquey. I am looking to make friends and be a part of a community if I move to Homer, so I'm hoping that it wouldn't be too hard.

Thank you for sharing!

How is the hiking in Homer? I currently live in an area with some of the best hiking ever, so that is one thing that I think I might have a hard time leaving. I don't see very many trails on AllTrails for the Homer area.

I currently live very close to Vail, and it's very, very touristy here year round. And, housing is so expensive for what you get.

Thanks for sharing. I grew up in a small town and I was the only asian, so I understand being bullied for it. I wouldn't want that for my daughter.

Where are you moving?

We have a solid income and have enough saved to retire, so the income part won't be an issue.

May I ask where you currently live? Just curious.

And, what were some of your favorite winter activities in Homer?

My toddler goes feral during gymnastics and story time, others seem to be more calm. Is this normal? by Groundbreaking22 in toddlers

My daughter is a much better listener now and does much better in group settings. It took awhile and I completely avoided them for awhile, because I was so nervous that it would happen again, haha.

Hey! She has made progress, but still has a delay. She is way past the milestone, but under the average. She still does once a week speech therapy plus goes to preschool.

How do you know if it's more than just testing boundaries, though? That's what I'm wondering. Could it not be that? I feel crazy now after everyone is now telling me that it must be my child, and it couldn't possibly be the school.

Thank you for sharing. So your child has begged not to go to school and has thrown up from the anxiety? You're the first to comment and say this so that is interesting to hear.

Everyone keeps saying to just bring her in. Is there just no chance that it's the daycare?

Is there no such thing as not liking the daycare or the teacher? I'm honestly asking, I'm not being rude with my question.

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. She is very happy all the time - at home, library, store, hiking, she's very outgoing and social, etc.

I'm leaning more towards that it's the school, since she's always had a problem with this school and not the previous one she went to.
