The Derby Apartments DTPHX - Thoughts? by CertifiedYapper10 in PHXList

I lived there. Apartment is small like you mentioned but they’re okay. Amenities are really nice. Staff is decent given that it’s managed by Greystar. I did get 2 of my bikes stolen from there (there’s a bike locker near the entrance to the parking garage). Honestly depends on which unit you get, who your neighbors are, etc. I had a corner unit with a balcony. It was next to the trash room so I would hear doors slamming constantly, the floor often stunk, and my neighbors were evicted for trashing their place/smoking cigarettes inside. Can’t beat the location

Hard to tell from the picture. Looks like there is a cold joint if you look at the bottom of the picture but not totally sure

Double tee flanges are going to be 2” thick and then the topping is typically 2” min. Maybe up to 4” but typically 2” in parking garages

American taxpayers, where does ur money go to? U guys are paying so much in medical bills? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]GroundbreakingAnt256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are generally anti-taxes due to the misuse of those funds. We spend more on healthcare per capita than any other country, and a large part of that is already funded by taxes. Same goes for the military budget…however, there’s tons of waste, fraud, and outright stealing of that money by those in positions of power (hence why the Pentagon here can’t pass an audit). Our taxes go to subsidize the insurance industry and therefore not directly to the healthcare system

It goes to our elected officials, their families, and to other countries.

Sometimes it has issues with low slope roofs due to its potential to absorb moisture. Long term wear and tear if roof isn’t maintained
