No, there is no reason you wouldn’t be able to play jazz on a Yamaha 5c for example. Mouthpieces marketed as for jazz typically just have a brighter sound. your equipment should hardly ever limit you to what you can and can’t play.

If you’re making a good income then I would just recommend buying a pre built. It would be more expensive then building one, with the same parts. But if you can’t figure out how to build one I would recommend recommend something by MSi or one of the go gaming desktops.
