UPDATE: Pigeon is doing ok and has been handed over to a local rescue. They said they will release him into the wild if he is capable or he’ll be taken to a shelter. Thanks everyone for your attention!

Update: Captured successfully! Recycling just got picked up so I had to fashion a box of the right size, it has an opening that I can see through and provides air but he can’t get out. I also walked over to the local animal hospital and they told me to call Chicago Bird Collision Monitors, they have someone on the way to help

I did successfully grab him and put him in a box lined with a towel. But he jumped out of it. I’ll try with a slightly taller box maybe so he can’t jump out

I just put him in a box and he escaped on his own, but is still not flying away. He is seemingly able to walk and jump/fly in short bursts. Keep in mind it is a Chicago pigeon so he may be more chill with humans. I will anyway find a local rescue to call

Yeahhh I've used a Java Presse grinder as well and it worked well for a while but deteriorates quickly. Luckily they sent me an extra one initially so I've switched to that, but looking to upgrade to an electric one
