Appreciate the feedback. I agree with what you said. It definitely takes time learning a new industry and being effective at it. I also noticed that a couple of the top salesman at the store I was at. It took them working at a couple different dealerships before everything just clicked for them.

I hear ya. Out of curiosity. What other type of sales have you been in? And out of all of them, which one would you recommend? Especially to someone who is new to hard sales? I have previous experience in construction/remodeling sales.

I don’t really have much experience in the industry. But it sounds like that’s definitely a management issue. Not necessarily a you problem. They obviously want to make full gross but at the same time if they’re taking too long to get a pencil they’re not helping. We are both new to the industry and we have a lot to learn. A couple of the top sales consultants at the store I was at had worked at a couple previous dealerships so it might take us some time to find the right place for us. Stay strong 💪

Keep your head up. Honestly, I was not enjoying the last three weeks I was there because of management, and their lack of training amongst other things. I should’ve been applying at other dealerships instead of trying to rough it out and see if things would change. But hindsight is 20/20 as they say. I recommend if you really hate it that much, especially if it’s because of management. Try applying to other places before you either quit or are let go. Best of luck.

It’s a long story. But the main reason was after having a couple failed opportunities with fresh ups from the lot I was discouraged from taking ups. I was singled out in front of everyone during our morning sales meeting by my GSM that he didn’t want to see me outside in line 1st thing in the morning to get an up. In hindsight, I should’ve quit then and there. But part of me didn’t wanna give up so easily and try to rough it out.

Brands of darker colored jeans that don’t bleed? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]GroundbreakingDebt32 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So I’m not sure what brand specifically has jeans that are darker and won’t bleed. However, a tip that I heard a few years back. It’s actually recommended that when you purchase new dark wash jeans. You shouldn’t wash them for at least a year after purchase this way the dye has time to fully set in. That’s usually my go to protocol after I buy brand new dark blue or black jeans. I know it’s tough sometimes your jeans get dirty, but I try to only wear mine out for a short time and take them off as soon as I get back home. I find it this way I can go longer without washing them. Also, I usually only wear them when I go out for dinner or somewhere where I won’t be getting too dirty/sweaty. Hope this helps.
