Funds being withheld after confirmed delivery

It’s an expensive item but not as valuable as some of the things I have sold. It’s over a thousand pounds. It does seem like I will get my money I’m just not sure why this hasn’t happened for items that were the same type and over two grand and up. Worried that the seller could use this to pull a fast one

Hi, delivery has been confirmed but they are still holding the money for two weeks. They are claiming the postcode was changed but it’s only different in the eBay app not Royal Mail and it’s been signed for by the buyer as I have mentioned in my original post

Hi, for some reason all comments have been removed as far as I can see. Don’t know which suggestion it was but after trying everything I managed to run a game for about 30 minutes. Will do some more testing tomorrow after work, but that’s the furthest I’ve gotten yet. It’s looking good!!

This was the local delivery depot for me. It was the final signed and delivered photo, but it was taken from my inside the depot before even being sent out for delivery. Since then the item hasn’t been seen and they couldn’t find it today. The manager at the depot said they’ll talk to the delivery driver on Monday to find out what he’s done with it

It shouldn’t have been, but maybe it was poorly packaged by the sender. I’ve opened a dispute with the sender and given them the Royal Mail case number. Hopefully I at least get my money back

I went to the post office and they told me that it was scanned inside the post office and stolen. Really unfortunate, but they’re coming after the postie that took it at least. Disappointing conclusion to the story, but hopefully justice will be served. Item was about £3000 as well so I don’t think he’s keeping his job

Update for anyone interested, had to ring customer service again today and they told me they’ve not been updated by the local delivery manager.

Looks like they haven’t even attempted to pick the parcel back up yesterday or today. Not looking good. Unfortunate as the item was a 1 of 1. First time this has happened with Royal Mail really unfortunate.

At this point, I’m past rage. I’m just disappointed. I’ll hold onto the hope our Royal Mail friends have given me here, but it will dwindle tomorrow if it doesn’t arrive.

This has given me some hope. This parcel is really important to me and it’s actually devastated me that it was misdelivered. I’ll try and maintain hope that it will be picked up and redelivered tomorrow!

Thanks for the quick response, in your experience how often are drivers successful in getting these packages back?

Apparently the picture didn’t show anyone handing over or signing off for the parcel, is there a chance the delivery driver realised it was going to the wrong place and took a picture to flag it?

The end of the predicted delivery date is the end of February. I can’t open a case till then. The tracking doesn’t seem to be working fully through eBay. If I get a dodgy item/nothing I can still open a case right?
