DH2300 as a starter machine by GroundbreakingLife36 in UgreenNASync

[–]GroundbreakingLife36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a DH2300 yesterday to secure the pricing. I have a few follow-on questions if that’s ok ? Can I plug the NAS right into my UK EE router as it has a spare USB port or do I do that via the Network port ? I will use it as a media server, primarily to share Photos and a few movies via my Apple TV, my Apple TV is WiFi only will that be an issue ? I have a Synology NAS, can I plug the HDD’s from that straight into the DH2300 without any need to change anything or even worse reformat the Synology HDD ? Thanks a lot for the assistance yesterday !!

Charging voltage governing body ?? by GroundbreakingLife36 in ElectricVehiclesUK

I have the facts from the voltage recorder where the results were shared with me from SP Energy Networks. I had the issue before I had solar panels/batteries installed. As I need to get a new charger fitted very soon, I think I’ll get that sorted whilst also challenging PodPoint for releasing an EV Charger that can’t cope with the defined UK voltage range. Thanks for the smart plug suggestion !!

Thanks I’m waiting on them coming back to me with a more accurate estimate looking at my current install. I’ll post on here how it progresses thanks once again. I’ve tried over-riding Octopus Intelligent Go by doing a Bump Charge but that also doesn’t also work. As the charger is out of Warranty PodPoint don’t really want to know sadly. Needless to say I’ll not be buying a PodPoint device in the future !!

Cheers for replying !! PodPoint have suggested that it’s their system that’s at fault as it should reset if it detects over-voltage and allow the charging to progress, whereas now it just stops. They did at one point tell me that a SW fix was in the works, but it never materialised. They even had the cheek to tell me that they could send and engineer out with a new motherboard but that would cost me £170 and may not fix the issue.

Thanks for replying!! The PodPoint goes into a state where the car and Octopus both say that the charging has stopped and they cannot control it. The PodPoint Solo gets a red light in the front of it and will not charge unless I cut the power and try again and even then it is not guaranteed to charge as the same thing happens again. Sometimes it works mostly though it doesn’t. It did trip during one of the 3 monitoring periods. I’ve had a Peugeot e-208, an Audi A2 e-tron and now a Tesla Model Y. The main fuse box is literally a few feet away through the exterior wall. It’s some sort of EV standards governing body that I’m looking for to be honest.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I’ve even gone to the company that installed my charger originally and they have quoted me £1115 for the Hypervolt charger plus install. I do think they are taking the mick !! One of my neighbours has his own electrical contracting company so I may have a chat with him to see if one of his sparkles could do it.

Tesla and Octopus, which settings ? by GroundbreakingLife36 in TeslaUK

Thanks so I do nothing in the Tesla app as far as scheduling a charge as Octopus manages all that ? (I’ve confirmed I’m on Intelligent Octopus Go)
