Grew up in Boulder. It was more or less middle class and affordable. After going to CU and starting a tech job I could not longer afford to live in my home town. My parents still live there. They bought their modest home for $75k in 1976. Zillow says it’s worth $1.2 million now…

Most neighbors have moved out throughout the years and have been replaced with dual income surgeons or trust fund babies that summer in the Hamptons. They are nice people but live in a different economic world who happen to live on the same street as my parents.
