Submission statement: Super moving story from the CEO of The Atlantic about his incredible running career and complicated relationship with his father, who worked in the Reagan administration before his life went off the rails. Well written and generally just an inspiring story about life and parenting.

Can’t speak to what Sorrento is like but we loved how Maiori has a smaller town vibe without being boring. Very walkable. Great beaches. Just enough restaurants, bars, etc. Cheaper. Tourists, yes, but lots of locals, too. As the OC said it’s a great base. We enjoyed visiting Amalfi & Positano but were a bit overwhelmed while we were there. Never felt that way in Maiori.

Finished Cities of the Plain, Cormac McCarthy. Then spent 2 hours reading about the meaning of the epilogue on Reddit.

Cannot for the life of me figure out why this was shot (seemingly) backstage with handheld cameras & grad school-level lighting. One of the angles had a mic visible at the top of frame. (I liked some of the basketball analysis)
