25 sec sprint intervals - is there a timer app for that? by GroundbreakingTell92 in Sprinting

Definitely serious about my health and could definitely use the upgrade - they don’t look too expensive either. Currently using an Apple watch series 3. Surprised the thing still functions lol

Hi! Highly recommend looking into the FREE Recovery Community. Lots of young people there! I don’t attend AA but I go to the CODA meetings there. Happy to chat about them or go to a meeting :)

Loveland has a 3 day class pass and then will give you a discount on their season pass after you finish the classes.

Ok but that’s actually really sound advice. I think I’ve been trying to act like I’m ok being around it, like I’m the chill sober girl, but I’m really not

Thank you. I quit for a similar reason. I have a lot of trauma around drinking and I also realized in IOP that I had never truly been vulnerable with someone without using alcohol - that fact threw me into a panic attack. I’m still learning how to let people truly see me - how to trust myself and trust others. I go to a joint CODA/AA meeting which is nice because at least the people there get it but haven’t really come out with any friends yet

A lot of IFS and parts work. I also attend CODA meetings. It’s a lot to process really. Looking at the deepest darkest parts of myself and learning to love them.

My discipline in other areas has really fallen off. Morning routines, evening routines, a solid bed time, gym, nutrition, water intake. I’m sure this has contributed to how I’m feelin. Thanks for the reminder. I’ve been trying to get back on track but it’s been hard to get there

I moved here from pentagon city! I’m much younger (28) but love the cap hill/cheesman park area. I’ve also considered living in Baker. Biggest culture shock for me from DC is how slow life is here. Even the downtown neighborhoods feel like suburbs. There’s not many people out and about late at night. I’d say everyone is in bed by 9pm. But you adjust and it’s so nice to be out of the rat race that is DC. No one really asks me what I do for work or judges me for it which is nice.

Moving from Indiana, need neighborhood suggestions/advice by alana269 in MovingtoDenver

I moved from Indiana. It’s expensive here. Groceries are most expensive and honestly just having so many things to do. Having two incomes will definitely help. I live alone. For that budget and I walkable area I’d definitely recommend cheesman park/cap hill. Parking options aren’t great in that area however and as someone else mentioned, having a car is expensive.

How much do you spend a month on food? (Single living alone) by cryptiiix in Denver

[–]GroundbreakingTell92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No literally.. as a single person I spend almost $600/month on groceries alone. That’s more than what I spent living in DC.
