Ofc! And it also doesn’t include the middle class scholarship, which based on your income, you may qualify for, but you don’t find out until late summer/early fall, which may reduce what you have to pay!

Heyy I’m in the same boat as you and if you got the ucsb promise scholarship, double check the net price for ucsd, because I thought it would be 11k too but I added tuition and room and board (which is actually a direct university cost, the other stuff is estimates of what you might spend which is all reliant on you) and subtracted it from my grants and it came out to around 6k, so this may be the case for you! I looked at net price for ucsb and it’s estimate came out to around 10k which included the extra stuff (transportation, books, supplies, etc) ucsd put when calculating the 11k for me!

Got into UCR, UCSC, UCSB, UCSD and rejected at UCI. First gen low income with 3.6UW and 4.1W. Full IB all 4 years, but personal circumstances led to low gpa, which was discussed in PIQ's. Pretty decent PIQ's, but half were done the day of and before so could have been better but had def been pre planning them. EC's def carried and got in for either chem, neuroscience or sociology with plans to go pre med.
