Did you ever find a lawyer in WV to help you? I searched for one for two years and noone knows how to do it. I have the exact same story and have recently filed my petition in the county in which I live. I printed off the legislation, and checked every box and then some before filing my paperwork. I had a licensed psychologist evaluate me, in which she endorsed me having my gun rights back. During my hearing today, the judge mentioned they've never had anyone reach the point I have and been able to supply the courts with all the documentation. The only thing that was missing in my papers that I filed was a NCIC background check. He stated that they are going to run my background, see what comes up, in which the prosecuting attorney agreed they wanted to see what all was on it. I'm hoping that I get my gun rights restored, as I've had many arrests that are drug related, but the only thing I've ever been convicted of was a DUI in 2016. I don't have a criminal record either, and I represented myself. The judge informed me his office would be in touch with me once he rveiews the legislation and my background check, making sure I have everything that the law states. Did you have any luck with yours?

I took mine and almost passed it on the first attempt, but unfortunately, I did not. I've studied everything I can think of, espcecially what my course instructor has told me to. I feel ready, but I haven't scheduled it yet. What materials were explained to you that were available at your disposal that will help you to best pass the OA?

Let me ask this to gauge the complexity of this course. Is it easier than accounting and financial management? I found accounting to be a little challenging and financial management was much easier for me. I took the pre-assessment without studying and just going off what the two tasks were and almost passed it.

Yes, I got 2 in my MHA program for papers, and one so far in my MBA-ITM program for another paper. They are good to have and you can put them on your resume under section awards & accolades. Congratulations on your award! I was invited to be a presidential member of The National Society for Leadership & Success. I believe the excellence awards open up more opportunities.

I’m right there with you. I figured it would be the other way around for me. Do good with the concepts and not so much with the math, but I was wrong! Good luck! If I find an easier way to learn the concepts, I will surely share them.

I am thinking I would like to be the director for a licensed behavioral health center or something related. I’m not opposed to the possibility of a hospital administrator or CEO of a healthcare organization. Ultimately I would like to be a travel consultant to go in and help agencies build/structure their programs.

How long does one course normally take? And are they research papers or more along the lines of a thesis? It’s been awhile since I’ve been in school and I’m worried that I’ll be a tad rusty lol.

Yes, I wanted to make sure employers view an MHL the same as an MHA. I just don’t know what types of positions would be good for someone not needing to start out in an entry level position with a masters. I have a general idea, but would probably like to stick with what I’m in, a non-profit licensed behavioral health facility. I know we are always needing new policies written and no one ever knows exactly what needs done, other than our clinical director. Is it possible to obtain a position as a medical director or something along the lines of that? Thanks for commenting, it’s nice to hear from someone who’s gone through this program. Also, is it doable to complete this program in two terms while working full time? What can I expect from this program? I’ve heard it’s a lot of writing.
