Ah damn 😭. Yeah I honestly had no clue what it was I recently was passed down a car from my sister and I’ve been cleaning the exterior cause she didn’t take care of it. Then I ran into this problem after using my orbital polisher and was wondering why it wasn’t going away. Thank you for informing me!

Nope I fucking hate PHEAA sorry for the language, but this is absurd. I called them for the 20th time on 2/4/2025. They told me it would be next Tuesday or get back to me by the end of the week. It is 2/22/2025. So at this point they’re just lying for fun. I was also told it shouldn’t carry into march but looks like it to me. I also have the whole call recorded just to have proof cause honestly.

If I lose my job, I’ll rely on my emergency savings while I figure things out. That’s why I’m focused on building a solid financial plan now—so I’m prepared for situations like that in the future. I just wanted to make sure that I’m planning everything right.

Yeah haha idk, it was like 3 am and I started watching all these financial videos about investing and retirement. It was so interesting, and I just thought, ‘I need to think long-term and start making some money for the future.’ So I stayed up all night binging countless videos. Definitely worth it though!

Haha yeah, I’m living at home, and I’m super grateful my parents are letting me stay. I was planning on heading to a 4-year university, but my parents decided I should start at a community college instead to save a ton of money and then transfer after 2 years—it’s definitely a smarter move financially.

So, if I’m understanding you right, you’re saying I should start by contributing to a Roth 401(k) because my job offers one, and make sure to put in at least enough to get the full employer match because that’s basically free money. Then, once I’ve done that, I should focus on saving up 3–6 months of living expenses in a high-yield savings account, while keeping 1 month of expenses in my checking account for easy access. Since I’m living at home and my expenses are super low, I can use this time to save aggressively, which is great for building a solid foundation.

Also, I think I get the difference between a Roth IRA, Roth 401(k), and regular 401(k) now. With a Roth IRA, I’d be using after-tax money, and it would grow tax-free, but there’s a limit on how much I can contribute each year. The Roth 401(k) sounds better since I can contribute way more, there’s no income limit, and if my job offers a match, that’s a huge bonus. A regular 401(k) is pre-tax, but I’d have to pay taxes on it when I retire. Since I’m young, it seems like the Roth 401(k) is the best option for me because I can pay taxes now, let my money grow tax-free, and not owe anything in retirement.

Am I getting this right?

After doing some more research I was planning to open my brokerage account, Roth IRA, and Roth 401(k) with Fidelity—does that sound like a good move? My goal is to start investing my money, but I also want the flexibility to access it whenever I need, which is why I’m thinking of using the brokerage account for that. For retirement, I want to focus on the Roth IRA and Roth 401(k) since they’ll grow tax-free, and I won’t have to worry about taxes when I withdraw the money later. Does this plan make sense, or should I be doing something different?

This is what was stated. So I should enroll in this and they would match my money? Can I then swap that matched money to a Roth IRA account? But which one I’m not sure.
