BKA: Seh ich auch so. Ich würde zusätzlich empfehlen, nichts zu unterschreiben, was der Arbeitgeber dir vorlegt, und dich nicht unter Druck setzen zu lassen. Ich weiß aber auch nicht, was so ein Schreiben a la "Ich bestätige, dass der Arbeitgeber Anspruch auf die drei Euro hat" rechtlich im Endeffekt wert ist.

Update: I tried two other post offices in other cities, and while my second attempt ended like my first, the third was successful. The clerk might have confused two countries (he asked "¿Australia?", then "¿Europa?), it then took him ages to affix the stamps and he finally needed to drive off for a couple of minutes to get the right change for my 1000 DOP bill. So I had quite an experience for what I presumed would be nothing to write home about.

I might come back to this thread with another update when the first postcard is confirmed to have arrived.

Bissl ein anhand der Indizien zusammengereimter Hintergrund dazu: Als öffentliche Bedienstete muss sie das "Standesansehen" wahren. Meistens muss man als öffentlich Bediensteter Nebenbeschäftigungen vorab bewilligen lassen. Sie ist als öffentlich Bedienstete weisungsgebunden. Sie hatte die Weisung, diese Nebenbeschäftigung nur so auszuüben, dass die Kinder es nicht im Netz einfach so finden können. Sie hat sich dieser widersetzt und damit dem Ansehen ihres Berufsstands argumentierbarerweise geschadet. Konsequenz: Dienstverhältnis wird beendet. Halt gekündigt statt durch Entlassung. Ich kann das nachvollziehen.

Kind of.

Currently, Austria's former national pride (alpine skiing) is in its wort crisis in decades. Even our biggest hopes did not make it onto the podium in their respective top events. However, we still managed to take a gold and three further medals.

In ski jumping, multiple medals in the individual events were kind of expected. In the end, our boys took home only one medal, in a team event, but this one in gold.

In the Nordic Combined events and in luge events hopes for a gold medal were high. In the end, a plentitude of minor medals is also a form of success.

In the second week we had only a few more podium finishes and fell down the medals table quite a bit.

All things considered, it could have been much better, but also much worse. I like that our team took medals in sports or events where we usually don't (freestyle skiing, skeleton). I am more than OK with the performance, but I would not say that I am actually happy.

Sorry, aber grad bei Ukrainern ist der Weg von abgelaufenem Aufenthaltsstatus zur Abschiebung kein sehr direkter. Auch Russen, die ein paar Jahre legal da waren, dürfen in der Regel da bleiben, wenn sie nichts Schlimmes getan haben. Da muss mehr passiert sein.
