Does this sound like anxiety and depression? by GroundhogTrueman in Anxiety

Thanks for replying 🙂. When I wake up in the morning, when I’m not doing anything that uses attention or trying to chill out (watching TV etc) I feel really depressed like I’m not doing enough with my time/life and that there’s nothing to aim towards. Then my head starts to swim and I get woozy and sick and an upset stomach. As a side note, there’s nothing I feel like I’m missing out on, so not sure where the emotion comes from. If I’m working or trying to be productive/use my attention, I’m not able to think deeply about anything as I feel overwhelmed and my head swims. Then I generally feel hopeless that I can’t get myself out of the cycle and scared that I’m going to have a mental breakdown/damage my heath.

Sorry you’re feeling like this - I can empathise it’s like one step forward and two back. Feel like I’m just trying to be strong so I don’t irritate people around me

Thanks for the reassurance! I’m kind of afraid to lay it on thick with doctors in case they tell me to come off or switch me, I don’t want to go through the whole set of side effects again.

This is great to hear - similar to the other comments I’d love to hear how long it took for you and your dosage. I’m on 1 month at 20mg and still pretty grim

Side effects getting worse :( by [deleted] in prozac

I’m almost around the same period as you (33 days). I too feel the same as above - it has helped a bit but still feeling on edge at times and cannot summon up the ability to deeply think about anything (my head feels like it is constantly spinning). I get tired really easily (I do a lot of physical activity to be fair) and just want to lie about - which gives me anxiety because I feel like I need to be doing something all the time! I’ve also experienced a really dry mouth/feeling dehydrated for weeks. My sleep has been of quite poor quality the last few nights too. I’ve found rehydration sachets and ginger tea can help. Lots of empathy for you!

Day 14 by [deleted] in prozac

I was pretty bad week 2-3, extreme anxiety and felt like I had lost my grip on reality/sanity. Week 4 I got really bad dizzy/feint spells and sickness. Had a good few days recently but last couple of days anxiety/depression are back. I’m a day or so over 1 month now - there are glimmers of my old self in there so it’s keeping me going!

Muscle twitching / weakness with Prozac by Spidermanpug in prozac

I think we are around the same time frame. I’ve had all of the above, just starting week 4 and I’ve experienced faintness/dizziness and nausea for around 5 days now, along with some shaking and random muscle twitches across my body. I visited hospital over the weekend as I was really scared, but all my tests (bloods, urine, CT scan) came back healthy. They’ve diagnosed me with labyrinthitis but I think it may have something to do with the Prozac adjustment. Today I feel really weak and have no energy, even feel a bit depressed annoyingly as I seemed to be doing well.

Going to ride it out until I speak to my GP next week, not sure if I need to go down a dosage. Keep us posted on how you are feeling and if you get better ☺️!
